"'𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐃𝐒,' 𝐅𝐔𝐃𝐆𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐃. 'It's for the students' safety,' Fudge said. Well, I don't see how it's for our safety when Harry just fell a hundred or so feet to what would have been his death!" Dakota ranted as she walked down the corridor to the hospital wing with Hermione, Ron, Aliyah, Lyra, Neville, Ophelia, and the Weasley triplets. "If the Minister of Magic ever shows his face around here, I'll kill him!"

They walked into the hospital wing – where Harry always seemed to end up after a Quidditch match. Dakota sat down next to her cousin on the bed as they all gathered around him. After a little while, his eyes fluttered open. He slowly sat up, and Dakota handed him his glasses from the nightstand.

"How are you feeling?" she asked.

"Oh, brilliant," Harry replied with slight sarcasm. Dakota chuckled softly.

"You gave us a right good scare there, mate," Fred said.

"What happened?" Harry asked.

"Well, you fell off your broom," Ron told him.

"Really?" Harry questioned sarcastically. "I meant the match. Who won?"

Lyra hesitated a moment. She exchanged a glance with Ophelia before saying, "Hufflepuff. . .But Cedric wants to have a rematch because of the dementors' interference," she quickly added.

"No one blames you, Harry," Hermione reassured him. "The dementors aren't supposed to come inside the grounds. Dumbldore was furious. As soon as he saved you, he sent them straight off."

"I'm murdering Fudge." Dakota twirled her wand between her fingers, but Ophelia snatched it.

"No," she said firmly. She glared at Hadley when she whispered something to Dakota that most likely had to do with arson from the way her beaut— ugly blue eyes were flickering with mischief. "Don't encourage her, Hadley!"

Hadley smiled innocently at Ophelia, and the brunette narrowed her eyes at her.

"There's, uh. . .something else you should know, too, Harry," Ron spoke up. "When you fell. . .your broom sort of blew into the Whomping Willow, and. . ."

Ron slowly unwrapped Harry's destroyed Nimbus 2000 as Hadley, George, and Fred made explosion noises. Ophelia sent the three of them a glare.

Winter had begun, and the Hogwarts grounds were covered in snow. Another Hogsmeade trip had arrived, and Harry and Dakota, sick of waiting around for their friends to return, grabbed the boy's invisibility cloak, covered themselves with it, and began trekking down to the village.
