𝐃𝐀𝐊𝐎𝐓𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐏. She tossed and turned, thinking up every possible horrible thing that could happen to Harry in this tournament. There was a reason why Dumbledore had set up that age line.

Harry was 14. He might have been a good wizard, but he wasn't anywhere as powerful as the older teens that had been chosen to compete. They've had 3 more years of training and would be far more prepared to face whatever these tasks were. Judging by what Dumbledore had told them at the start of term feast, people die in this tournament. The last thing she wanted was to lose her cousin because some moron thought it would be a funny joke to put his name into the Goblet of Fire.

Dakota rolled over onto her back, sighing as she stared up at the ceiling. She sat up, glancing around the room at her sleeping roommates. Bongo, her cat, laid beside her, his green eyes staring at her in the dark.

"You too, huh?" she whispered, scratching him behind the ears. She got out of bed and grabbed her bag, stuffing her uniform and robe inside before slipping it over her shoulder. She scooped Bongo up in her arms and quietly left the 4th year Slytherin girls' dorm. "Perhaps a change in scenery? Neville dropped the parchment with the password to Gryffindor Tower earlier."

She left the dungeon common room, quietly making her way upstairs to the seventh floor, being careful not to attract any noise that would get her caught by Filch or his cat, Mrs. Norris. She reached the portrait of the Fat Lady, who was sound asleep with curlers in her hair.

Dakota cleared her throat. "Balderdash."

Nothing.

She cleared her throat once more, a little louder this time. "Balderdash."

The Fat Lady jolted awake. "Wha— Who's there? What are you doing out at this hour?"

The portrait swung open. Dakota, not believing that actually worked, stepped inside the Gryffindor common room. She'd been up here one other time in her second year when Neville had told Harry that someone had trashed the boys' dorm.

She went up the staircase leading to the girls' dorms. She found the one marked 4th years and slowly turned the knob.

Hermione was sitting on her bed, a candle lit so that she could read her book. She looked up when she heard the door open, blinking a few times to make sure she was seeing correctly. She closed her book and set it on the nightstand along with the candle.

"Kody, what are you doing up here?" Hermione asked in a whisper as Dakota walked over to her bed.

"Couldn't sleep. I'm worried about Harry."
