𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐄𝐓. Dakota had learned that there was no such thing as a moment of peace with Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters roaming about, and there was no way that they were completely in the dark about the plan to move Harry tonight.

Dakota reached for her wand just in case. Her suspicions were proven right when there was a rustle of wind followed by a loud snap as a spell was shot directly at her and Tonks.

"Down!" the Auror shouted, shooting a spell over her shoulder at the Death Eater that was following them.

Dakota ducked, accidentally looking down at the ground below them as they flew higher and higher to avoid the ambush. Pushing away her fear of falling, she quickly casted Protego to block a curse that was shot their way.

That's when she noticed the wild mane of black curls underneath the Death Eater's mask.

Anger shot through Dakota. Without thinking, she shot a hex at Bellatrix Lestrange, who almost fell off her broom trying to dodge it. "That's for hurting Lyra, you bitch!" She fired another spell, but it bounced off a jet of light that came out of Bellatrix's wand and shot right back at her and Tonks, who quickly blocked it before firing a jinx.

"That's for murdering Lia!" Tonks yelled.

Dakota sent another hex Bellatrix's way. She got a direct hit, and the Death Eater retreated. "And that's for all the pain you've caused Neville!"

The rest of the flight was silent. When they landed at the Burrow, the Polyjuice Potion had worn off. Dakota stumbled off the broom, feeling dizzy and almost like she was going to be sick.

"Kota!" Hermione ran up to her and wrapped her in a tight hug. "Are you alright? You're one of the last back, we thought something bad happened to you both!"

"Something bad would have happened if it hadn't been for her," Tonks said as Hadley threw herself into her arms, tucking her head into the crook of her neck. "Brilliant she was. I wouldn't be standing here without her."

"Really?" Hermione asked.

"Don't sound so surprised, Mione." Dakota smirked. "You know how much I love picking fights."

Hermione rolled her eyes with a chuckle. She put her hand on the back of Dakota's head and pulled her in for a kiss before wrapping her in another hug. Harry, Ron, and Aliyah hurried up to them, the five embracing each other tightly after the less than peaceful flight.

There was a whooshing noise as Fred and Arthur arrived.

"Are we the last back?" Arthur asked, looking around at the group gathered outside. "Where's George?"
