𝐃𝐀𝐊𝐎𝐓𝐀 𝐃𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐊𝐄 from a dream about fighting space aliens on the moon. The aliens were also trained in witchcraft and wizardry. They were blasting spells at each other, and she was just about to beat them when her blanket was yanked off of her and a voice hissed in her ear for her to wake up.

She groaned and rolled over onto her stomach, burying her face in her pillow and mumbling incoherent words. Someone grabbed her shoulders, and before she knew it, she landed flat on her back on the hard floor. Her eyes shot open, and she saw her best friend, Hermione Granger, standing over her.

"Well, good morning to you, too, Mione," Dakota grumbled, taking the brunette's hand when she held it out to help her off the floor. She smirked and yanked Hermione down next to her, making her yelp in surprise. "Not so much fun, is it?" She stood up and brushed herself off before helping Hermione up.

Hermione was now taller than her. It was only by a couple inches, but Dakota was still surprised. Up until now, she had always been the slightly taller one.

"When did you get here?" Dakota asked, her brows furrowing when she saw that Hermione was already dressed for the day. The sun wasn't even up yet.

"Just now. You?"

"Harry and I arrived last night." Dakota yawned and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "The triplets made my brother's tongue grow really long. Fred accidentally dropped one of their Ton-Tongue Toffees when they came to pick us up."

"Amusing." Hermione went over to the side of Ginny's bed and shook her awake. "Ginny, come on. Time to get up. Your mum said breakfast is ready." She grabbed Dakota's arm when she tried to crawl back in bed. She shoved her gently towards the door. "And don't go back to sleep, Kota."

Dakota groaned loudly as Hermione dragged her downstairs. Ophelia and Neville Longbottom had also arrived. Ophelia was having what looked like a normal conversation with Hadley at the breakfast table. She whispered something in the redhead's ear that made her giggle and blush furiously.

"What the bloody hell is going on with our sisters?" Ron asked Neville, frowning in confusion as he watched the two interact.

"No idea." Neville shrugged. "Lia spent the whole summer in her room writing letters back and forth to her."

"So. . .they're friends now?" Ron's brows furrowed.

"Friend." Fred laughed.

"Secret girlfriend." George smirked.

"Who can tell the difference?" they said in unison. Hadley threw a scone at them, glaring.

After breakfast when everyone was ready for the day, the Weasley children, Longbottom siblings, Hermione, Dakota, and Harry set out with Mr. Weasley on a very long walk to Merlin knows where.
