"U-Um. . .Sirius?" She swallowed nervously when he turned to look at her. "I-I don't know if you know who I am, but—"
"You're Narcissa's daughter, aren't you?" Sirius asked. "You look just like she did when she was your age."
Lyra's face flushed. "A-Actually, um. . ." she cleared her throat, "I'm her sister. . .I-It's kind of a long story. I don't really understand it either since she and Bellatrix are so much older than me, but, uh. . .yeah."
"You seem different from them," Sirius noted. "Just out of curiosity, what house are you in?"
Lyra's face turned even redder. "Hufflepuff," she whispered, barely audible. She'd learned to take pride in her house over the last three years, but she still felt the littlest bit of shame every time she was reminded that she was the only one in her family not to make Slytherin.
"Oh, I bet Bellatrix just loved that, didn't she?"
"She was furious. She sent me a Howler." Lyra paused a moment before asking, "You were in Gryffindor, right?"
"Yes." Sirius nodded. "I guess breaking tradition runs in the family. We really are more alike than one would think." He smiled at his baby cousin, and Lyra couldn't help but smile back.
Aliyah squealed happily as she watched Lyra and Sirius interact. "Oh, I just love a family reunion!"
"Good thing Sirius isn't some crazy psycho murderer," Dakota said, crossing her arms and leaning back against the immobilized Whomping Willow. "It'll be good for her to have a sane family member."
"Turn me into a flobberworm, anything but the dementors!" Pettigrew begged. Dakota gripped her wand, considering shooting a possibly illegal spell at him to shut him up. "Ron! Haven't I been a good friend? A good pet? You won't let them give me to the dementors will you? I was your rat!" He then turned to Hermione. "Sweet girl. Clever girl! Surely you won't—"
"Get away from her!" Dakota kicked him, and he cried out in pain. She grabbed Hermione's arm and pulled her towards her, pointing her wand threateningly at Pettigrew as Lupin dragged him away from them.
Hermione noticed the moon as clouds parted. It was full. She called out to the others and pointed at it. Lyra let out a small gasp of fear as Lupin began to transform before them. Dakota watched as the man's wand fell from his hand. Pettigrew bent down and picked it up. She quickly fired the disarming spell at him, but it was too late.
