4 Years Later - October 14, 2029

"Dave can you get the door please? My hands are full at the moment," I shouted from the nursery as the door bell went off. I was in the middle of getting Ginny ready for her first birthday which was today. I finished getting her little dress on her when the bell rang again.

"Got it babe," Dave shouted back which made Ginny turn her head towards the door. She was already a daddy's girl.

"Hey you. Pay attention to me. I'm the one whose giving you the attention right now," I said as I poked Ginny lightly until she turned back to look at me.

"Mama," she said and poked my chin.

"Ya that's me. How old are you today baby girl?" I asked and held up one finger.

"One!" Ginny exclaimed and copied me by putting 1 of her fingers up.

"That's right. You're one today and you already need to stop growing," I said as she crawled away from me.

I sat there and watched her play for a bit and thought about everything that had happened in the last 4 years. Gisele and Rufus had two kids, a boy and a girl, while Kimmy had twin girls and Jordyn had a boy shortly after her and Daniel's wedding. Abby and Taylor were doing good after he had another close call a couple of years ago. Shortly after that, Dave decided to just take some time off so everyone could rest. Three months into the time off, Virginia got really sick and passed away. It was really hard to watch Dave go through that but I kind of understood what he was going through. Mind you our relationships with our moms were different but both still hurt. Six months later, I found out I was pregnant. I told Dave a week after I found out because when I came home from the doctor with confirmation he was in a mood and stayed in it for most of the week. When I did tell him, he kissed me all over my face and said he was happy. One year ago today little Virginia Eileen Abigail Grohl, Ginny for short, joined us and completed the family. I didn't work the entire time I was pregnant and just spent it with Lucy, which was what I had wanted. I loved having that time with Lucy just as much as I had with James and Lucas. We had also started celebrating Cecilia's birthday every year which helped. I was still sitting there watching Ginny when I heard someone clear their thoart.

"You going to stay in your pajamas all day?" Taylor asked as he stood at the door.

"No I'm not. I'm going to get ready in a bit. Just enjoying some time with my girl before I do," I said as Ginny crawled over to me and gave me a shoe. I looked at her confused and she just giggled at me as I shrugged.

"How you doing over there after all the stuff that's happened?" Taylor asked as he joined me on the floor.

"As good as can be expected. How you doing over there? Still doing good?" I asked Taylor.

"I'm doing better. Just gotta take it one day at a time. You know what I mean and besides I got someone pretty great to call when I start thinking about that shit again," Taylor said and put an arm around my shoulder.

"I'm here for you like you are for me, especially after my mom died. I'm always going to be a call away. I don't care what the fuck I'm doing when you call but I'll always answer," I said back as I put my arm around his shoulder as well.

"Even if the thing you're doing is Dave?" Taylor asked and we started laughing.

"Absolutely. He can deal with it," I said in response as Dave came into the nursery.

"I can deal with what?" Dave asked as he helped me up.

"Don't worry about it. Ginny is ready for her birthday party and now it's my turn," I said before I kissed Dave on the cheek.
