59. You'll Be In My Heart

4 Weeks Later - December 11th, 2022

38 Weeks and 5 Days

When I woke up on the day of Gisele and Rufus's, I noticed I had overslept a bit. I got up showered and did my make up before I headed downstairs to the kitchen. Dave and James where there coloring

"Look who's finally up," Dave said as I grabbed a banana.

"I guess I overslept. Hopefully, I get to Abby's on time," I said as I sat down beside him.

"You'll get there when you get there. Don't go stressing yourself out today. We don't need you going into labor while they're saying I do. You just try your best to stay calm," Dave said before leaning over and kissing my cheek.

"I'll be fine. I just need to go to Abby and Taylor's, get into my dress and get my hair done. Nothing to stress about really," I said half-heartedly. I got up and kissed the top of James' head before I gave Dave a hug from behind.

"Make sure you eat more than that banana too," Dave said as I finished the banana and started waddling out of the kitchen.

I mumbled ya ok as I headed back upstairs to get dressed. After I grabbed my dress and headed back downstairs. James asked if he could come with me and I told him he had to stay with Dave but that he'd see me in a couple of hours at the wedding. When I got to Abby's I was taken into the kitchen where everyone was getting their hair done. I hugged both Lola and Tigerlily when they saw me. I got my hair done and then headed off to a bedroom to get into my dress. Gisele had picked out a beautiful navy blue dress for all of us. I managed to get it on but when I reached into the back I felt a small sharp pain. I didn't think much of it and went back out to the kitchen. I asked Abby to zip me up and then we both went to help Gisele into her dress.

"I can't believe today is the day," Gisele said once we are all back downstairs and almost ready to go.

"It's going to go by in a daze so just take as many mental pictures as you can," I said.

"Yes and don't forget to eat," Abby added.

"Will do. Thanks you guys from helping me get this day together. Let's just have fun tonight once I'm married," Gisele said.

After that, the cars showed up to take us to the hotel where the ceremony and reception where both being held. When we got there I went in search of Dave and found him and James talking to Taylor. When Taylor looked down the hall and saw me he waved. Once I got closer James hugged my leg and just stood there while we talked. I closed my eyes as another belly pain came and went. When I opened my eyes Dave looked concerned.

"You going to make it past the ceremony?" he asked.

"I should be good. This is only my second contraction," I replied with.

"Ya but second babies come faster than first one's babe," Dave said in response

"I get that but so far we're good. Until my water breaks or I'm having more than one contraction an hour, we're not going anywhere," I said back. Dave started to look angry and thankfully Taylor stepped in.

"D just calm down. She'll know when it's time to go to the hospital. If anything does happen though, she's surrounded by friends and family who will make sure she's okay. We got this. I'm positive this is not the first time that a pregnant woman has been to a wedding where she might go into labor," Taylor said calmly.

We managed to get Dave to calm down before we had to go to the ceremony could start. James went with Taylor to wherever Rufus and the rest of the groomsmen were because he was the ring bearer. I gave Dave a kiss and told him not to worry too much and that I would find him immediately if anything started to happen. Then I ran, ok more like waddled, off to rejoin the girls. Just as I got to the room everyone was coming out. Abby handed me my flowers and we headed towards the ballroom in the hotel. Once we got there we got into line and then it was time. I went first followed by Rory, Lola, Tiger Lily, Abby and then Olivia and James went before Gisele and her dad walked down.
