8 Weeks Later - November 26th
"I hate that we leave tomorrow," I said as I cuddled up to Dave. Jordyn had taken the girls, James and Virginia out for lunch so Dave and I could have a little alone time before I left. Once the kids and Virginia were gone, Dave had chased me upstairs and into the bedroom.
"I know but we're only going to be apart for three weeks. Then we get two weeks together for the holidays. We'll text throughout the day and we'll skype at least once a day. It's only three weeks. We got this. Do I need to keep reassuring you or are you good yet?" Dave asked and I couldn't help but giggle. I had been complaining and worrying about leaving all week and Dave continually told me things where going to be ok and not to worry.
"I'm kinda ok," I replied as I sat up against the headboard.
"I will text you every morning after I wake up and every night before I go to bed and I know you'll do the same. I'm a master at this shit babe. Stop worrying please. Smile damn it or I will make you," Dave said as he moved so he was in front of me. I tried my hardest not to smile at him just to see what he would do. It was impossible not to smile when Dave was around.
"I see you fighting it. Come on smile for me and I'll make you scream until the kids get back," Dave said sexily as he parted my legs and moved in between them.
"There going to be home like any minute," I said back. Dave moved back a tiny bit before grabbing behind my knees and pulling me down the bed so I was back on my back.
"Then you better smile so we can go for round three," Dave replied in between kisses down my stomach.
He stopped and looked up at me and I smiled at him. His eyes went darker and he continued kissing down to my left thigh. He gently bit at it before doing the same to my right thigh. Then Dave then moved over and went to town doing what he did best before we had even more great sex. Dave was getting out of bed when his mom returned with James and the girls.
"Seems we finished in the nick of time," he said as he pulled his boxers on.
"Ya. I'm going to miss middle in the afternoon sex," I replied as I got out of bed and walked over to the closet. I put on jeans and a blue and white shirt and then walked out to find Dave dressed.
"Ok I'll agree with you on that. It is pretty great having an afternoon delight once in awhile. Shhhh I see a tiny little blonde head poking in the door," Dave whispered as he pulled me in for a hug. When we let go of each other I turned around and saw Ophelia now fully standing in the room.
"Hey Phee did you have a good lunch with grandma and mom?" I asked as we walked over to her to head downstairs.
"Uh huh. Mom wouldn't stop playing with James and holding him," Phee said as we headed downstairs.
"That's good," I replied as we joined Virginia at the bottom of the stairs. I took James from her and gave him a bunch of kisses as we walked into the living room.
"She said he looks a lot of daddy," Phee added as her and I sat down on the couch.
"He does. James and David have the same chubby cheeks and eyes," Virginia said as she joined us.
"Did you know you look like your daddy?" I asked James.
He was standing on my legs as I held him in front of me. He grabbed at my nose before Lennon barked and he turned his attention to see what was going on. Dave was laying on the floor with Harper and Violet tickling him and Lennon barking at them. Ophelia ran over and joined her sisters while Virginia and I stayed on the couch. James started making noises which caught Dave's attention. He came over and got James before going back to the girls. I smiled and felt tears coming on so I excused myself and went out for a smoke. Lennon came with me so I sat on the grass and she got into my lap. I was half way done when Virginia came outside with one of my shawls.
