Day after Abby's Due Date

"This is torture. Her due date was yesterday and no baby," I said as I walked into the living room. Dave was sitting down on the couch going through emails so I sat down on the other end and looked at him.

"Why don't you focus on your lines or go to the gym or something," Dave said as he kept his eyes on his laptop.

"I already went to the gym toay and I need a break from my lines. There's nothing to do," I respone with.

"You could call Gisele and bug her," Dave said as he looked over his glasses at me.

"She's at work. I hate this. I wish it was next monday already," I replied.

"Same here," Dave mumbled.

"I can take a hint," I said and stood up. I was almost out of the living room when I heard a groan and I turned around.

"I'm sorry for being annoyed but it's this fucking divorce. I swear to god Jordyn is jut doing this to piss me off and hurt me. She wants to switch to every other weekend. She tries to change something every week. My lawyer says we might have to go to court if we can't work this out in mediation tomorrow," Dave said as he put his laptop down. He patted the couch beside him and I joined him. He put a hand on my thigh and I just smiled at him.

"I'm sorry she's doing this babe. It's not fair to you or the girls. Do what you gotta do though. Im here for you. I'm also sorry if I'm annoying you lately. Only 4 more days of putting up with me. Well 3 because I'm all alone tomorrow," I replied.

"You're not annoying me. Where's James?" Dave asked.

"Napping but probably not for much longer," I replied.

"Well I could use a break and thought maybe we could go for a dip in the pool," Dave said as he traced a circle on my thigh with his finger.

"What if he wakes up? I can't go get him in a wet bathing suit," I replied. Before Dave could speak, James started crying and I got up.

"Well now he can join us," Dave said as we headed upstairs.

"He's almost 4 months old. Are you sure about that?" I asked as we walked into the nursery and I picked James up.

"We have the swim chair if you don't want to hold him," Dave said as I started changing James.

"Isn't it goign to be cold?" I asked. I really didn't want to take James in the pool yet.

"I checked it earlier and it was warm enough. Come on Britt let's go swimming," ave said as I finished changing James and picked him up.

"Fine go blow up his chair and I'll get him ready," I replied. Dave kissed my cheek and ran out of the room. "Let's get you ready to go swimming. I apologise now if it's too cold for you baby boy but daddy insists," I said as I held James for a minute before getting him ready. I then went and got my own suit on and then ehaded downstairs with James. When I walked outside Dave looked up before going back to the swim chair. I noticed his hair was already wet as I sat own beside him.

"How's the water?" I asked as James made a loud noise and reached out to Dave.

"It's nice. Hey buddy," Dave replied and waved at James who smiled back at him. Dave made a goofy face at him and he made a cute little baby giggle.

"Are you sure about this?" I asked as I looked own at James then the pool.

"Would you rather use the boat?" Dave asked in response.
