2 Weeks Later - May 23, 2019

"How was work today beautiful?" Rufus asked as I kissed him on the cheek. He had been here for two weeks and I still hadn't told him yet.

"It was good. How was your afternoon with James? Everything go ok?" I asked as I sat down at the patio table. James was out on the lawn playing with Lennon.

"It was great. We had lunch, took a nap on the couch while watching The Brave Little Toaster and then came out here. I'm a little surprised your home before dinner though," Rufus replied.

"Oh I finished filming early for the week. I have tomorrow off now," I said. I looked down at my phone as it vibrated in my hand and saw a text from Abby.

"That's good. Planning on staying close to home?" Rufus asked as Lennon ran past us and into the house.

"But of course," I replied as I read the text from Abby. "Or maybe not. I have a dress fitting for the wedding," I added as I texted her back. I was asking her if I could go today if possible. She said that if I could that would be great.

"Are you talking to Abby?" Rufus asked as James walked over to him.

"Ya I might be going right now. She's texting me the address for the dress store right now. You ok to watch him for a bit longer? I can get dinner on the way home," I replied as he picked James up.

"Pizza pwease mama," James said as I looked up.

"I sure can and pizza sounds like a splendid idea James. We might go for a swim if that's ok. What do you say little guy? Fancy a swim?" Rufus asked James.

"Ya," James shouted excitedly.

"Just make sure you use his fire truck floatie and his life jacket. In case you hold him out side the floatie. Just use both to be safe. I do," I replied as I stood up.

"Ok sounds good. Have fun and don't get poked by too many pins," Rufus said as I walked around. I took James from him and gave him a few kisses before hugging him tightly and handing him back.

"I'll try to stand perfectly still. See you alter," I said and kissed him.

"I love you," Rufus said as I headed towards the house.

"Love you too," I said back distractedly before walking inside.

I headed to the dress shop and waited for Abby to show up. When she showed up, we headed into the shop together. One of the ladies came over to us and asked how she could help. Abby did the talking and I just stood there thinking. I had a million things on my mind and I couldn't shut them off completely. The lady asked me to follow her and I did. She helped me put on the dress and do it up before we walked out for Abby to see.

"Oh it's perfect," she exclaimed as I stepped onto the little thing for the lady to start pinning it. I smiled at her in the mirror and tried to be excited but couldn't get it to stick to my face. Abby walked around so that we were facing each other before she asked what I knew was coming.

"What's wrong boo? You're not acting like yourself," she asked.

"Just thinking about things. I've been trying to figure out a way to tell Rufus about the thing I did for the past two weeks. I barely sleep and when I do I toss and turn. I can't eat and when I do I feel like I'm going to be sick after. Dave and I stopped screwing around but now he texts me everyday and asks if I ended things. Plus I'm constantly working and getting up early and I'm just tired," I rambled.

"Wait go back. You and Dave stopped screwing around? When the hell did you start that again?" Abby asked.

"His birthday," I replied as the lady put my arms out.
