9 Weeks Later - November 9th, 2019
"Hey what do you want to do for your birthday this year?" Dave asked as I joined him on the couch. I had just put James down for a nap and the girls where with Jordyn for their monthly weekend.
"Nothing really. I don't feel like celebrating. Last year sucked so this year I just want to crawl into bed with you and discuss wedding details after I get off work. There might be cake at work," I replied.
"Aww baby don't be like that. Your turning thirty. The big three oh! We need to celebrate this year. Maybe we could have some people over and just have some fun. We'll invite Charlie, Max, the guys, whoever else you want from the show and their boyfriends, girlfriends, wifes, husbands, fiances and kids. Everyone can come over Saturday in the late afternoon and we'll get a bunch of pizzas and alcohol and just have a good time," Dave said as he turned to look at me.
"I guess if you want to. I just want you and me on my birthday though. You, me, dinner and then bed with a movie and cuddles," I responded with.
"And birthday sex," Dave added with a wink.
"I don't need it but if you insist," I said with a shrug.
"Oh you don't need birthday sex," he said and gave me a look. I knew what was coming so I started to get up. Dave grabbed my wrist though and pulled me towards him and started tickling me. After a couple of minutes I begged him to stop and he did.
"Ok ok I need birthday sex," I said as I consided.
"That's what I thought. So just invite whoever you want from work on Monday while you're there. Tell them the sixteenth and to come anytime after three," Dave said as I got up. I turned around to face him and he looked up at me.
"What about Gisele and her new boyfriend?" I asked. Dave's smile disappeared and his brow furrowed.
"Of course she can come and I guess he can if he's in town. I just don't want you and him alone at any point what so ever. I trust you but I don't trust him. Ya he's dating Gisele but that doesn't mean anything considering how you two started in the first place. Plus I've caught him staring once or twice," Dave replied. I was sitting back down on the couch as he finished.
"Dave I'm not going to fuck up again. Rufus can stare all he wants but I'm yours. Besides they're happy. Like really really happy. We're also getting married in five weeks which honestly I can't wait for," I said with a huge smile. Dave's smiled returned as I snuggled up to him and he put his arm around me. He was about to say something but James made a noise and neither of us moved as we looked at the monitor. He didn't make another sound so we both relaxed.
"I can't wait either. Best christmas present I could think of," Dave said.
I gave him a kiss and then stood back up. I headed upstairs with the baby monitor to the library and decided to study my lines for next week. I stopped when James started shouting mama as loud as he could. Once he was dressed again we headed off to find Dave who was in his office. James ran over to him and got a few hugs before Dave told him he'd be downstairs in a minute. We headed downstairs and played with Lennon until Dave joined us. He took voer playing with James while I went to start dinner. After dinner and getting James ready for bed we all settled in for a movie. James passed out half way through so we managed to get into bed early for once. Dave was reading a book as I got into bed. I grabbed my script and was just starting to read it when I put it down in my lap and just stared ahead at the wall while letting out a sigh.
"What's wrong?" Dave asked not looking up from his book.
"I don't know," I said back and then lifted the script back up. Dave put the book down and looked at me over his glasses when I looked over at him.
