I just want to begin to say that in order to make this whole story come together, I had to change and bend parts of the actually story as well as adding situations, lines, reactions etc that never happened. This is in no way meant as disrespectful or dishonouring. I have a tremendous amount of respect for these men, these heroic veterans. And I don't want to belittle anyone's experience. It is only a story, a very fictional story with a foundation of truth and history. I have both watched and studied the show as well as partly read the book written by Stephen Ambrose. I tried to make it as accurate as possible but like I said, it's a fictional story with a foundation of truth and history.Another disclaimer, it will contain a lot of violence, raw descriptions of both violence, wounds, injuries etc. As well as physical and mental distress. I don't want to discourage you to read but I want you to keep that in mind if you are sensitive to that sort of stuff.
But with that said, I hope you enjoy it, I put a great deal of work and hours into it. It's a subject I'm very passionate about and I hope I can reach your expectations.
Enjoy.
