CHAPTER 85

Mary POV

"Why are you looking at me like that? Do I look like a liar?" tanong nito sa akin at lumayo sa pwesto ko

"N-No, I just can't believe what you revealed to me just now. My head is becoming messy" sagot ko sa kaniya habang gulat na gulat pa rin ako sa sinabi niya

"We still have time, you can ask me anything" nakangiti nitong sabi sa akin at hindi ko pa rin talaga siya lubos na maintindihan. 

Bakit siya nakangiti sa akin? Diba dapat kamumuhian niya ako dahil sa ginawa ang tunay kong nanay? Bakit willing pa siya na sagutin ang mga katanungan ko kung galit siya? She smiled at me as if we are not in this kind of awkward situation.

"So, my brother and Dwayne born the same day?" I asked to her and she just giggled and teasing me because my question.

I just cant help it, gusto ko itanong yan kasi nung birthday ni Kaiden noon, walang nag sabi na birthday din ni Dwayne. Kinakahiya ba nun na ka-birthday niya si Kaiden o ayaw lang talaga niya mag celebrate?  

"Yes but my son really don't want to celebrate his birthday because he thinks that it is just a hassle" sagot nito sa akin at bakas sa kaniyang mukha na nag hihintay pa siya ng tanong mula sa akin

"Then let me ask you this serious question" mahina kong sabi at ngumiti na naman ito sa akin na parang walang problema kapag patuloy lang ako magtanong

"Why you ordered Luke to kill my brother, what is your grudge to my brother and why the fake Celestine get involve in that situation?" seryoso kong tanong sa kaniya

"I told you before that Luke's grandparents and his parents even the loyal servants died in a massacre 15 years ago, right? Well, the ones who killed them were your birth parents because Luke's family was trying to rebel against them. If Luke's parents had succeeded in their plan, they would have replaced the Glucksburg monarch and become the new King and Queen of the country. Sadly, they never won against them. By the King's order, they killed all the Holsteins' clan and that was their punishment for raising their swords against the Glucksburg monarch." she answered to me

"Killed all the Holsteins' clan? Then why Luke is still alive?" gulat kong tanong sa kaniya  

"Oh, you still don't know? As you can see, Luke shouldn't be the next Grand Duke. It was supposed to be the legitimate child, but he was also killed back then. Luke is the illegitimate child of the former Grand Duke. His mother was just a maid who climbed into the former Grand Duke's bed to have a child with him. The Holstein family accepted him as part of the clan, but he was always cast aside, no one considered him as truly part of the clan. Before the massacre happened, he sought help from me and  since he's Dwayne's cousin, I protected him, and he became indebted to me. I never let the Holsteins be destroyed just like that, so I helped him become the new Grand Duke despite his illegitimacy. With my power as the Crown Princess of the United Kingdom, my influence to the high society helped him rise and be accepted by other royals----"

"I had enough with his background introduction, now answer me, why you ordered to kill my brother and why the fake Celestine is involved?" pag puputol ko sa kinukwento niya. 

Kanina pa ako kating kati na malaman ang dahilan niya tapos sobrang haba na ng sinasabi niya tungkol kay Luke although nagulat ako na anak pala siya sa labas at ang nanay niya ay isang maid lang pala pero gusto ko na talaga malaman.

"About that, I know that Luke has still grudge to your parents because his parents died from the massacre because of them. I somehow pushes him to do those deeds, if he want to get revenge by killing your parents and your brother, then I wont stop him and I let him do whatever he wants and I even ordered him to do that if he really want to take revenge after all I will also be benefited if your mother died" she said while still smiling that makes me feel irritated
