Two Weeks Later
Martin had told Ryan, that the highschool was holding football tryouts. So Ryan who plays for University of Arizona, has had Bucky work out and train with him not knowing that his brother was trying to get him back into football.
"Alright little bro, you are ready." Ryan said as he grabbed his water bottle.
"Ready?" Bucky said confused
"Uncle Marty, told they are holding Varsity tryouts. You need to go, get back to you. Play with your buddies. It's been four years little J." He said
"Back to me?" He said
"Yeah back to you. The one that loved football, I know it sucks not having mom in the stands. Believe me I have done it the last four years..it sucks knowing that Liam and Austin got a lot more time with her. But guess what little brother we still have to live our lives. And I got Mallory cheering me on from the sidelines, I've got Jana and her husband in the stands that's enough for me. And I know that mom is cheering from heaven.." he said
"Ok.." Bucky said softly.
"Besides the school football team sucks right now.." he whispered which made them both laugh.
The next day Ryan came with him to the highschool.
"Uncle Marty.." Ryan said
Martin turned, and saw Bucky standing next to him. He was biting his lap as he looked at the field.
"You ready little J?" Martin said
"I um..I.." he said
"He's ready I've been working with him all summer. He's just a little nervous." Ryan said
Bucky's phone buzzed, he saw a text from Reign.
"Hey where are you? I woke up alone, I'm heading to Dunkin then my nail appointment."
"I um, I am at football tryouts. Ryan tricked me all summer long." He responded
"😍😘 Good luck love! See you soon! You got this baby!" She responded
Bucky followed Martin to the football coach,
"Hey Coach, this is my nephew James Barnes IV, and of course you know my other nephew Ryan." Martin said
"Barnes?" Sam said as Steve joined him
"You coming back to QB cause we need a good QB." Steve said
"You've played before." Coach Johnson said
"Yeah I have.." he said as he looked down
"Four years ago he quit, he lost his mom and just kinda lost his way but he's getting back to himself." Martin said
"Austin and Liam's little brothers." Coach Johnson said
"Yes.." Ryan said
"Wilson and Rogers help him find some pads and practice jersey let's see what you got Baby Barnes and don't take that personally. You are the baby correct..." Coach Johnson said
"Yeah.." Bucky said as he went with his friends.
Reign went to the nail salon, and ran into Mallory.
"Hey Mal." She said
"Hey! I guess we had the same idea since the boys are at the football field." Mallory said
"Yeah.." she said
They chatted it up, and left together. "New Car?" Mallory said
"Oh yeah, I was having a lot of issues with my range Rover. So I got me this new one. I love how your car matches your red lipstick! Do you want to go grab sushi with me?" Reign said
"Yeah.." Mallory said and they met up at the local sushi restaurant.
After lunch they went shopping for baby shower gifts at Target, when Reign returned to Bucky's she found him asleep on the couch. She cuddled him as she took his ponytail holder out.
"Mmm baby..no sexy time right now my whole body hurts.." he mumbled.
"That's ok..I got my period this morning." She said
"Mmm that's good no babies for us right now." He said as he pulled her closer and fell into a deep sleep.
