(60) Mother's Day Brunch

A month later,

"Do we really have to go?" Bucky said 

"Yes we do..it's a mother's day brunch.." Reign said as she laid out his clothes. 

"In case you forgot my mother is dead Reign so no I don't see the point in me going just because my family is hosting." He said 

"What the hell is wrong with you lately? Ever since we got back from spring break you have been in such a crabby mood. You didn't want to go Ryan's wedding you lost it when he danced with your grandmother.." she said 

Bucky just rolled his eyes. 

"You better be there tomorrow.." she said 

"I won't..he said 

"You know what do whatever you want James, Im going home." She said and left. 

Bucky threw the clothes across the room, slammed his door shut and went to bed. The next day Reign showed up at Helen's with Claire. 

"Hey honey, Claire it's so good to see you." Helen said 

"So good to see you Helen, and thanks for inviting us." Claire said 

"Oh you are so welcome." Helen said 

The brunch began 30 minutes later, Bucky still hasn't shown up. Ryan and Austin found Reign alone. 

"Where's my brother?" Ryan said 

"I don't know, he's been very crabby lately. When I was over last night I gave him an outfit to wear today..he didn't want to come he informed me that his mother is dead and he didn't have to be here..he's been biting my head off lately so I left." She said 

Then they heard Helen say "Little J you made it.." 

"Sorry I'm late..I haven't been sleeping good." He said 

"That's the other thing, he's gone back to sleeping on his couch with his Airpods in when I stay over so I quit staying over." She said 

"We need to talk to..but heads up Reign." Austin said as Bucky made his way over.

"I'm sorry for being an ass last night.." he said 

"Yeah.." she said and walked off. 

Near the end of the brunch, Helen got everyone's attention. 

"Three of my grandchildren said they had an announcement to make. Ash honey you may go first." Helen said 

"Me and Clayton are expecting twins! I'm 15 and half weeks! Your turn Austin.." Ashton said 

"Me and Kora are finally having a baby.." he said 

"I am 16 weeks today.." Kora said 

Jana smiled so big, "Me and Bentley are expecting too! I am 14 weeks!" Jana said 

"Holy Crap, Jana didn't take long." Ryan said 

"No she didn't.." Bucky said softly. 

To make up for being late, Bucky helped his grandmother clean up after the brunch was over. Reign found his siblings outside.

"You said you needed to talk to me.." she said 

"Yes, the anniversary of mom's death is coming up. We usually meet up for dinner then go to the cemetery together. Only little J doesn't know that...he deals with it alone..I was hoping that maybe this year would be different..that maybe you could get him to come.." Austin said 

"I can try..but I can't make any promises." She said 

"That's all we ask.." Liam said 

"Ok..I will talk to you all later ." She said

"One more thing Reign, you've been invited to our girls trip next month. Marleigh our aunt and mom use to take us all on a girl's trip. After Mom died Marleigh just kept the tradition going..we asked if we could invite you..and she said yes." Jana said 

"Oh I would love that. Being the only girl I don't get to do stuff like that. Plus mom is always at the hospital." She said 

"Ok.." Jana said 

Bucky came out of the house, "Ok we can go now..congrats on the babies." He said as they left.
