Time, Space, Reality… Essences of what makes the universe and the outer Multiverse in reality. Sometimes a single change can directly change the course of the designated future but sometimes a few more changes pile up to radically change how a universe goes out.
Through the magic of a wish, the universe has been changed but before we look at how Alya experiences this new changed reality, we should get a glimpse of the reality’s past….
A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS AGO
In the lair beneath Agreste Manor, Gabriel Agreste was hard at work in his transformed state with a black and purple mask, light blue skin, a black cloak and his fan weapon. The dubbed Shadow Peacock had created his latest Sentimonster made in the image of his beloved comatose wife Emilie, the soulless and mindless Sentimonster was hooked to a machine with a head helmet with cables directing to another machine, within her chamber Emilie had a similar helmet on with cables connected to the machine as well.
He activated it holding in a deep breath, the machine turned on and the Sentimonster started moving as if there was life being transferred into it. However to his anger the machine shut down and the Sentimonster fell back down lifeless. “No…. No……… NO!!!! ANOTHER FAILURE!!!!” Shadow Peacock screamed furious as kicked at the nearest wall and punched it in frustration. Using the power of Emotion granted to him by the Peacock Miraculous, he then destroyed the Sentimonster created in the image of his wife.
“I can’t get this right; it’s either that the Sentimonster is not exact to Emilie’s image or the machine can’t transfer…..” Shadow Peacock fumed looking furious at the machine filled with Miraculous magic as he had tried to transfer his wife’s mind and soul from her ill comatose body to the Sentimonster in her image.
He then yelled as he felt pain in his head and started coughing, he didn’t know how many failed attempts that this made and the effects of the damaged Miraculous was only making his condition worse.
If only he was able to find those Ladybug and Cat Miraculous to make the wish to have his wife returned to him. He was perfectly willing to send out Sentimonsters out to draw out the heroes that would wield them but the damaged Peacock Miraculous made that impractical. While he would be willing to put his life at risk if it was the only way to find the source to get his wife back; he would only have a limited amount of time before the effects of the Miraculous claimed him and all the work would be for naught.
His best bet would be trying to create a new vessel for his wife, while the time was just as limited as the other plan; it was the best one that he had at the moment.
There was a cough and Nathalie Sancoeur his assistant made herself known and he snarled as he turned around. “Leave Nathalie, I am busy…” Shadow Peacock dismissed her but she stood there.
“Gabriel sir, I got another call from the Board. They are getting impatient and they have scheduled a meeting to discuss your future in the company that you built yourself.” Nathalie informed him and he grew frustrated.
“That can wait, this is a bigger priority…” Shadow Peacock replied thinking that he didn’t have time to deal with the Board, they would quickly see that the company was nothing without him, his design work and business skills.
“Adrien is concerned about you having not been seen in so long, he might be becoming more distant than he already was.” Nathalie said and Shadow Peacock grunted thinking that he will explain himself to the boy once he brought the family back together. “Plus Social Services are calling and are planning on coming over. I don’t think that I can hold them off for so long…..” Nathalie said as Shadow Peacock gritted his teeth.
Social Services had their concerns about Adrien’s sheltered life but he and Emilie were always able to convince them that Adrien was doing well in his home school program. “Emilie and I will deal with them once she is as good as new.” Shadow Peacock retorted wishing she would leave him be soon.
