Lila and Alya had been planning this all week. They were going to frame Ashley for stealing Lila’s journal. While Alya kept look out, Lila went in the locker room and placed the journal in Ashley’s locker. Once that was done, Alya went to Mr. Damocles, saying that she saw Ashley take Lila’s journal. Then they sat back, planning to watch the fireworks.

Ashley knew that something was about to happen. Since they came into the classroom, Alya and Lila kept smirking at her. Something told Ashley that all the drama she had been trying to avoid was going to start soon. Mr. Damocles came into the classroom, demanding to see in Ashley’s locker. As Ashley stood, and saw the looks on Alya and Lila’s faces, she knew that this was their doing. She, along with the rest of the class that wanted to know what was happening, went to the locker room. When Ashley opened her locker, a journal fell out. She heard Lila call out from behind her. “That’s it Mr. Damocles, that is my journal. Why did you take my journal this morning Ashley?” Lila faked some tears, happy her plan was working.

But instead of Ashley getting upset like Marinette did, she stayed strangely calm. “I didn’t take it. I wouldn’t have had time. I got here as soon as the bell rang, I didn’t come in here at all this morning. Check the security cameras if you don’t believe me since there is one pointed right here. Then we can see definitively who took the journal.” Mr. Damocles hesitated, not wanting to rush to judgement like what happened with Marinette. Meanwhile, Alya and Lila were panicked. They hadn’t realized there was a camera pointing at the lockers. They knew they would be in major trouble if Mr. Damocles looked at the camera. Alya tried her best to convince him not to. “There is no need to look at the cameras! The journal is in her locker, and I saw her take it this morning.” That made Mr. Damocles pause for a moment. “While I see your point Miss Cesaire, after what happened with Marinette, I would prefer not to rush this and check everything.”

Everyone went to Mr. Damocles office, he made no effort to keep the whole class out of the office so everyone packed into the office to watch the cameras. Lila and Alya still tried to convince Mr. Damocles he didn’t need to look at the cameras, but nothing worked. And once he pulled up the cameras, the whole class saw Alya standing at the door of the locker room as Lila put the journal in Ashley’s locker. It was like a spell had been broken and everyone in the room saw Lila in a new light. The class was shocked. Why would Lila and Alya try to frame Ashley for stealing? Mr. Damocles is horrified at the actions of these two, and realizes that Lila probably also framed Marinette, not some lying disease.
——————-
The class was told to leave the room, they hadn’t figured out that Lila was a total liar yet, and Mr. Damocles wanted to try and spare Lila the embarrassment in the hopes of avoiding an akuma. Mrs. Rossi was called to the school. After everything was said and done, Lila was expelled from the school. Alya was suspended for several weeks and would have detention for the rest of the semester, but wasn’t expelled since she was tricked by Lila too. Lila was enraged as she sat there. All her hard work fell apart and her plan had backfired horribly. And there Ashley sat, not bothered by any of this. As they all got up to leave, and Ashley left first, Lila raced after her, wanting answers.

Lila ran down into the courtyard and stopped Ashley, with the whole class watching. Marinette and her friends had the good sense to pull out their phones and start recording when they saw Lila chasing Ashley. Lila grabbed Ashley’s arm, pulling her to a stop. “Ashley! How come nothing worked on you!? I was able to trick everyone else in the class! They all believed my every word and thought I was amazing! But you came and ruined everything! How come I couldn’t trick you!? My stories trick everyone! Why didn’t you pay attention to me?!” The class gasped as Lila revealed that she had been lying, but Lila was so focused on Ashley she didn’t even realize what she had said, or that there was a crowd forming. Ashley just calmly said, “You couldn’t trick me because they weren’t the best stories. And I wasn’t really interested in them anyway, even if they were true.” Something in Lila snapped and she just threw a tantrum. Screaming and ranting about how it wasn’t fair and that everyone should pay attention to her. The class stared in stunned silence as Lila continued to yell. Mrs. Rossi came down into the courtyard and took her daughter to the car, while Lila was kicking and screaming, ready to take her daughter far from this school.
