“We're so sorry, Marinette,” Rose said, “You were right about Lila from the start.”
“I feel so gullible,” Alya said.
“It’s okay,” Marinette reassured, “I’m just glad she can’t take advantage of you anymore.”
“But why would she think that you were Ladybug?” Mylène asked.
“Umm…”
People started screaming.
Oh, good an Akuma, Marinette thinks, relieved to have an excuse not to answer. Wait, what am I thinking?! Akumas are bad!
She runs away to transform, not realising she’s being followed.
“I am Fair Weather! Where is Marinette?!”
She created a blizzard that surrounded the school.
“Why would she be after me?” Marinette asked Tikki.
“I don’t know, but something tells me that Lila has something to do with this.”
“You’re right, Tikki–”
“She’s here!” Lila called out from behind her.
“Lila?! What are you–”
Fair Weather turned toward them, “Marinette, you betrayed me!”
“Whatever Lila told you, it’s not true!”
“You would say that,” Lila said, “But how can anyone trust you when you always disappear during Akuma attacks and come up with the lamest excuses?”
“She’s right! What are you hiding?!”
Marinette didn’t know what to do. She was trapped and couldn’t get away.
“Stop!” A voice called out.
Marinette’s classmates ran in front of her and the Akuma, “She’s not the one you should be questioning,” Alya said.
“Yeah,” Nino joined her, “Lila is the one who has been telling everyone lies since the moment we met her.”
“What?”
“It’s true,” Rose said, “We realised that none of her stories are true.”
“She just wanted to be the centre of attention, and she had it out for Marinette because she saw right through her,” Alix added.
