Alya had no idea how the magic of the Miraculous could have messed up such a simple wish; instead of knowing who Hawk Moth was she was now in a new reality where the superheroes were different, she didn’t know who they were, apparently she had been in some sort of legal trouble now, Marinette was no longer her bestie, Adrien was now kind of a jerk and now she finds Marinette being kissed on the cheek by Luka the rebound second choice ex (it was never going to work between those two anyway) and Alya’s own boyfriend Nino!
“What is going on? What are you doing kissing Marinette like that Nino?” Alya demanded out loud with just about everyone turning the heads towards her with Adrien facing her with a scowl that pretty much asked ‘what exactly are you doing?’
“Alya... Kissing your girlfriend on the cheek is not uncommon for boyfriends to do.” Sabrina spoke up and Alya turned to face barely noticing that Chloe wasn’t sitting next to her or in the class at all.
“What? Since when was he and Marinette dating and how does Luka fit into all this?” Alya asked as she was intentionally ignoring the mutterings around her from her classmates.
“I don’t know how it’s any of your business Alya but both Luka and I have both been dating Marinette for months.” Nino answered with Alya hating that now Nino was treating her like a stranger.
“I know you don’t socialise with the class much Alya since you hang around with Adrien most of the time, but how could you not know? The three have been so lovely and dovey! When they are adults, I kind of expect Nino and Luka to fight over who gets to propose to her!” Alix spoke up to laughter from the class and an embarassed red face on Marinette with Kagami giving Marinette a teasing smile as if they were best friends.
Alya was spluttering out what sounded like vague words when the teacher who was an unfamiliar man came in, “settle down class and that includes you Ms Cesaire.” the man said sternly as Alya forced herself to quieten down.
“How about at lunch we meet up and we can discuss whatever that was...” Adrien whispered sternly to Alya with her only scowling at him in response.
As class started Alya decided to look at the class to see what else was different but there were two notable students missing:
Chloe and if the wish made it so that she wasn’t in their class anymore then great, that’s another thing that this stupid wish had gotten right.
But the other omission was Lila and that was a real bummer, was she in a different class or travelling around the world again?
Anyway she trudged right through the class and after another class it was time for lunch, she was sitting on her own during lunch sighing as she was watching Marinette and Kagami at a table speaking with huge smiles on their faces as if they were.... best friends !
She hated being in left in the dark and decided that she had to go and investigate like you would expect from a good reporter.
She got out her phone and thinking of what to search up decided to look up Chloe and the results.... well reading the results made Alya the happiest that she had been all day.
