Summary:
He’s been watching Alya’s behavior lately and Trixx is not pleased.“I know you hit Lila.” “You’re only using Luka to make Adrien jealous.” “You truly are horrible!” “I can’t believe I was ever friends with you!” Trixx has heard so many bad, terrible things escape his chosen’s mouth and he was more than pissed.
Ever since that Italian girl came along, Alya Cessaire was one of the first to believe every word that came out of Lila’s mouth, from her big tales of these connections she has with celebrities and every lie about her “best friend” Ladybug, who she claims to be very close to.
Then there was Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a young aspiring fashion designer, class rep for Bustier’s class, a giving friend who doesn’t ask anything in return. She had been the first to point out that everything Lila ever said was a lie in order to protect her friends and classmates.
But Lila had viewed her as a threat when she didn’t come to her side willingly. So each time Marinette attempted to expose her, Lila would activate the waterworks and make herself the victim of Marinette’s “bullying”, when in truth it’s the other way around. But unfortunately, Alya fell for Lila’s trick every time and took her side, not giving Marinette a chance to defend herself.
The one time Marinette had taken her to the side to tell her the truth about Lila, Alya demanded her to get proof that Lila is lying. Which was a bad move. She’s the one that wants to be a journalist who is supposed to seek out the source of what she hears, yet Alya telling Marinette to find proof was showing that she’s lazy and wants to believe everything she hears without doing any fact checking herself.
Then when she started to date Luka Couffaine, Alya had it in her head that Marinette was only using him to make Adrien jealous. Marinette told her time and time again that she no longer likes Adrien that way now that he’s dating Kagami, a more loyal best friend to the designer, but Alya still refuses to listen.
A few times she’s been asked to be Rena Rouge, the fox hero would practically demand Ladybug to defend Lila from Marinette’s bullying since she’s her best friend. Ladybug herself had said that Lila is not her best friend but Alya was convinced that she only said that to protect Lila.
After yet another tiresome akuma battle and once she had returned home, Trixx had decided enough is enough.
Doing her nightly routine, Alya had changed into comfortable pjs and was about to get to bed after updating her Ladyblog when she noticed the way the fox kwami glares at her. “Trixx, what’s wrong?”
First his glare becomes sharper. “Some fox hero you are.”
At first she was confused about what he could be implying. “What…”
“I’ve been watching you. I am not pleased with how you’re acting.”
“What are you talking about, Trixx?”
“DON’T ACT DUMB!” The anger in his tone actually made Alya flinch. “You believe every single thing that comes off that Italian’s silver tongue, making you believe your best friend is a bully.”
“She is a bully, not my best friend.” Alya had denounced her friendship with Marinette after school the previous week. But oddly enough, the bluenette seemed unbothered over losing her friendship with the blogger since she had Luka, Kagami, Adrien, Chloé, Zoé, Nathaniel, Marc, Aurore, Mireille, Kitty Section, and the rest of the class had started to realize that Lila is not who she claims she is, has apologized to Marinette and are back on her side.
“You never had that thought about Marinette until Lila came along. For you to easily believe a single word from her shows that you were never a friend to Marinette.” Trixx pointed out, his arms now crossed over his chest.
