Under the direction of Alya as Hawk Moth; Matchmaker matched Luka up with a random girl and and almost did the same for Nino before Alya stopped him. She was thinking about how Nino was supposed to be her boyfriend before her wish mixed everything up.
Matchmaker was doing his best to look for Marinette (Alya didn't know how she was going to set Marinette up considering Adrien was there and acting like a jerk but she would think of something later) when Scarlet Bug and Black Feline joined up. They worked well evacuating the students and staff while dodging the attacks, acting well together as if they knew what the other was thinking immediately.
Scarlet Bug used Lucky Charm to summon a cheesy love poem that she read out loud (with a look of discomfort on her face) distracting Matchmaker long enough for Black Feline to find the torn up love plan letter which housed the Akuma.
Ripping it up released the Akuma and freed the poor boy allowing Scarlet Bug to De-Evilise; then the Pound It which caused Alya no small amount of scorn watching these fakes do it.
The boy then got up nervously accepting the two stretched hands of the heroes helping him up, "Did I get turned into a villain by Hawk Moth? Sorry Scarlet Bug, Black Feline but I just wanted to help out my bro and then....." the boy explained.
"It's alright Sam; Hawk Moth took advantage of your feelings and we heard from Jake about what happened. It's admirable to want to help your friend but trying to keep pushing him towards a crush he didn't want to pursue anymore was just pushing him away." Black Feline told him softly as Sam put his head down low.
"I got carried away......" Sam admitted as then Jake came asking if he was alright. "Sorry Jake... I was so convinced that it was meant to be between you and Caitlyn that I got carried away... I get why you got upset since I don't know if she ever wants to speak to you again because of me.... If you still don't want to be friends anymore or just need space then I understand...." Sam said but then Jake smiled and said to give it time with him nodding not knowing that Hawk Moth herself whispered about Sam being a quitter.
"Surprised that I didn't try to set you both up as Matchmaker." Sam told the two heroes who grinned amusingly.
"We have our own civilian lives but if Black Feline wants to ask me out or kiss then I wouldn't mind..." Scarlet Bug joked and Black Feline embarrassed shook her head as she knew that her partner liked to joke about this from time to time even if most of the time when there was an Akuma it was all serious. She could count on her to be a partner and a friend.
Kagami would be jealous if she knew there was competition to her job as her best friend.
Marinette transformed back and joined the other students coming back into the cafeteria, she was engulfed into a hug by both of her boyfriends. "Glad that you are alright Marinette; it's great that you got away not only for your safety but so you didn't have to witness Luka being all lovely dovey with another girl...." Nino told Marinette and she giggled as Luka gave a small glare to Nino.
"I wouldn't joke about that Nino as you like to talk like that to me." Marinette joked to Nino as it was now Luka's turn to join in on the joke.
Then came their classmate and friends getting together to make sure that they were alright; Marinette and Kagami looked over eachother and then hugged as was normal in the aftermath of a nearby Akuma fight.
Two amazing boyfriends; a great best friend, great friends in her classmates, amazing parents and family members, an encouraging possible future father in law in Jagged, a fun Kwami partner in Plagg, a mentor in Master Fu and an amazing partner/friend in Scarlet Bug. All these loved ones who encouraged and help Marinette to be the best possible version of herself that she coudl possibly be.
What more could she wish for?
Marinette was happy.
Alya had to suffer through Adrien ranting and complaining about 'yet another failed Akuma' and asking when are they going to suceed in getting the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous. Did her self in this new reality really deal with this for 2 years if it turned out that Adrien had been working together with her the entire time?
She spent the rest of the day contemplating the result of the wish: she only now knew who Hawk Moth was because the magic of the wish changed it so that she was now Hawk Moth. Plus with almost a criminal record to boot before coming here to Paris.
Not only that but how did the wish decide to grant the part of her wish for Marinette's Happiness?
Getting rid of Chloe which she coudl get and was all for but to change Lila into a liar who got into trouble? Was this just to satisfy Marinette's stubborn unneeded grudge against the poor girl?
Plus why was Adrien also changed into a jerk by this wish as well as Lila apparently? What part of fundamentally changing her true love into a different person making her happy?
Plus making the Kagami girl her new best friend as well as pairing Marinette up with her not right for her ex as well as giving her Alya's boyfriend as well? Plus she can get making her popular around the school but still...
This was a dark parody at best of what she wished for!
Honestly, if this was supposed to be some sort price then it would have been nice to be warned beforehand...
“I know and I brought it up to the previous Guardian and he said that the wish comes with a terrible price and the cost could very well be too much to risk it.”
Alya lied down on her bed in shock when Marinette's words echoed in her head.
Was this the price for her wish?
Twisting her wish while making her suffer?
Marinette tried to warn her....
Now she lost everything while Marinette was a near stranger to her and Adrien was pretty much unrecognisable.
She went to bed in tears that night.
Her bestie tried to warn her and she lost it all...
She ignored her family's concerns as she put on a fake smile while going to school the next day, she sat next to Adrien while watching Marinette happily talking to her friends. She glanced towards the classmates with nothing to note except for Sabrina who seemed to be smiling at Alya and pointed to Marinette as if she was encouraging her.
She glanced back at Marinette.
She did look Happy.....
No.
No!
She only looked happy because she doesn't know better! She doesn't know of the better life that she could have with her as her best friend, as a defender of Paris as Ladybug and a future boyfriend/husband in the real Adrien Agreste!
This wish messed up but she knew Marinette's happiness better than some stupid magic.
She owed it to Marinette to fix this for them both!!!
She would play along as the Hawk Moth of this reality until she found a way to get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous from those two fake heroes Scarlet Bug and Black Feline. She will wish that everything was back to where it was before.
Maybe not everything: she will wish that what happened to Chloe stays but she will wish that Marinette gets together with the Adrien that they both knew and not this fake parody of him.
Plus she will wish to have the knowledge of the true real Hawk Moth in her mind.
She will spend her time going over her words to make sure that the wish doesn't twist itself again. She will do what it takes to get it right this time....
No one there to warn her that she was in a prison created by the wish that could only make things bad for her; that if she just accepted this new reality, gave up being Hawk Moth and tried to start things over with Marinette again then she could be happy again.
Would she have listened if there was someone there to warn her?
