Summary:
Marinette has always been generous, when her fashion empire flourished, even more so, but that's not why Alya stuck around, it wasn't why anyone stuck around. Well, that isn't entirely true.

(The summery is junk, but I promise the actual story is better)

(This is a Lila Salt Story. If you don't like it, don't read it.)

Notes:
Background: Marinette and Adrien got together through being the only one knowing that Lila lied, and Marinette gave in to Lila and stopped trying to expose her just so she would leave her alone, and so the class could be more stable, and Lila (mostly)stopped lying when she noticed the class was getting annoyed at her rather than liking her stories. Marinette was only friendly with her to keep the peace, and Hawkmoth was defeated, and Adrien's mother revived. They are all in their early to late twenties at this point and Marinette has built up her fashion empire and has a contract with Gabriel, though it is still her own independent company (unknowns to her Gabriel plans to sell his company to her when he retires, this isn't relevant, I just wanted to add it for world building.)

When Adrien finally proposed to Marinette all of Paris seemed to rejoice; plant life seemed healthier, stormy days seemed to cease, and all over Paris the Parisians seemed to have good luck. But no one, besides maybe the to be weds's families, were happier for the couple than their old class. Years of being in the same class, coupled with trauma bonding over the frequent Akuma that plagued their younger years gave the class an almost unbreakable bond, and both Marinette and Adrien were class favorites. Marinette was a great friend, she was generous and understanding(even before her fashion career took off), and showered them with gifts or taking the bill whenever they went out, not that they allowed her to, many times someone wrestled the bill from her followed by the very mature gesture of sticking their tongue out. And while it may seem like she was flaunting her wealth to outsiders, everyone who knew her knew it couldn't be further from the truth, Marinette was just a very giving person. Giving was her love language and it was just how she communicated with others. It never got annoying, but rather just made them feel exasperated for her(I mean, the woman gifted her guests' custom dresses for her own 21st birthday, dresses that would sell for thousands, and she just gave them to them because she wanted them to have a memento of the night). Exasperating as it could be, no one could turn her down if she really wanted to do something for someone, knowing how much she enjoyed it, everyone just agreed not to take advantage of it and to pay her back when they could, no matter how small the return gesture would be. And they didn't take advantage of her giving nature, at least most people didn't.

Adrien's and Marinette's wedding was a big deal, not only they popular in the 'common' world for their charity work, and status, they were popular in the upscale world too, what with both being so down to earth, they were refreshing compared to other high society people. But no matter how many friends Marinette made in the higher places in the world(and there were a lot, gosh darn the girl for being a social butterfly), she never forgot anything regarding her friends from childhood, which was why she made every single girl from her old class(plus a few outside the class) a bridesmaid, with her cousin Bridgette her maid of honor. Even Lila, who Marinette wasn't fond of, was made a bridesmaid, though Alya guessed it was only out of politeness seeing as she had never forgiven Lila for getting her expelled, even briefly, when they were in school.

As her bridesmaids the girls decided to try and make everything as stress free for her as possible! The fashion world waited for no wedding after all, so Marinette was still working, and planning the wedding, and designing all the flower girl dresses, bridesmaids' dresses(+pants suit for Alix), maid of honor dress, rind bearer tux, groomsmen's tuxes(+dress for Chloe), best women(pants suit), Adrien's tux, and her own wedding dress(thank Emilie Agreste for demanding the right for her and Gabriel's to make the dresses and tuxes at least, the woman was not to be trifled with.), she even refused to let anyone help pay for the wedding, insisting they just wanted everyone to come and celebrate with them(damn right everyone pitched in to send anonymous donations). Bridgette was more or less caught up in trying to make sure Marinette didn't drive herself crazy and trusted Alya and the others to plan the perfect bachelorette for everyone to enjoy, with some hints at something nice and relaxing for her. And Alya would rather disrespect Ladybug than not plan the perfect relaxing and fun bachelorette party for her best friend! There was only one problem.
