Alya was furious. Why? Because her blog’s viewership was down. Not just that, but Aurore had started a blog herself and it was already more popular than her blog! She was venting to Lila about all of this when she suggested an idea. “What if we mess with Aurore a little. Might help you with this anger, and she may decide to shut down her blog.” Alya liked the idea, and they quickly got to work.

For the next week, Alya and Lila tormented Aurore at every opportunity. They put gross things like bugs and Band-Aids in her food at lunch. But Marinette, who knew what they were doing, always shared her food with Aurore. They started sending her mean texts from a burner phone and posted rude comments on her blog. But it did nothing to deter Aurore from continuing her blog.

They got to bold in their actions though. They made a mistake one day. They tripped Aurore down the stairs after school. They had foolishly assumed that the school was empty and no one would see. But that wasn’t the case. Someone had seen. And someone had recorded the whole thing.

Marinette was growing more concerned about what was happening to Aurore. She had noticed what Lila and Alya were doing almost as soon as they started. She had also noticed they were growing more bold with each day. So, she had started staying after school until Aurore left to make sure she was safe. She had wanted to also make sure that she got proof of what they had been doing so she could prove it to the school.

Marinette was happy she had started following Aurore when she saw Lila and Alya following behind her one day after school. She quickly got out her phone, not having any idea what they were planning but knowing it wouldn’t be good. As Marinette recorded, she watched in horror as they tripped Aurore down the stairs. Marinette stood in shock as Alya and Lila left the school, laughing all the way.

Marinette rushed to check on Aurore, and once she was sure she was ok, Mariette went to Mr. Damocles office to show him the video. He was stunned and he called Lila and Alya into the office first thing the next day. He also called their families and had them join them.

Alya and Lila were terrified. They had thought that they would be able to talk their way out of Aurore’s accusations. After all it was her word against theirs. But then they were all showed the video. To say their families were furious with them was an understatement. The office was filled with yelling from everyone involved and in the chaos, Lila let slip one of her lies and Mrs. Rossi called her out on it immediately. Soon after, everything was revealed and Lila’s lies were exposed completely.

In the end, Lila was expelled because of the truancy and bullying. Her mother sent her back to Italy, to attend a extremely strict boarding school. Mrs. Rossi even warned the school about Lila’s lying problem so they knew not to believe her at face value. Alya was suspended by the school for her part in everything and her family made her take down her blog, since it was the root of this particular problem. Alya was left to stew in her jealousy as she watched Aurore’s blog become more popular, while her blog was destroyed.
