she was hopeless

Gin was pacing the waiting room of the hospital. She hated waiting at the best of times, but right now felt like hell.

Griff has been hit by a car, and was sedated.

He hated doctors.

She had to go for a check-up last month and he had been twitchy the whole time he had been sitting next to her. He had later told her about his fear from childhood, and how he was almost pinned down by a doctor for a jab. The doctor had been struck off as Griff wasn't the first child he had done that to, nor was he the worst case either.

So she knew why he had acted the way that he had when they brought him in, she was surprised that he had calmed down when he heard her though. She had thought that she would be one of the last people he would want to see. He had told her once that of he was ever in the hospital he didn't want her there.

At the time she had thought it was due to him wanting to protect her, but then his betrayal had come to light and now she thought it might have been for an entirely different reason, a reason that may never be known to her.

They had yet to hear anything about his condition, but she wasn't all that worried. He was a strong guy and showed just how much when he was brought in. Plus if he had had the energy to put up such a fuss with not only his brothers but everyone at the hospital as well, she knew that he might just have superficial injury's. Still didn't like waiting for the Doctor to talk to them about how he was doing though.

As she passed by Priest he grabbed her hand and made her sit. "You ain't helping anyone, with all that pacing."

"I know but I can't seem to keep still."

He sighed, "Look, you and I both know he is gonna be fine. Banged up, sure but fine. Ain't no one more hard headed then him." they both chuckled at that.

Just as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, a doctor came into the waiting room asking for her.

"Yes, that's me! Is he OK?" She rushed over to him franticly, needing to know what was happening to the man she had not long ago thought of as the love of her life.

"He is a bit worse for wear but more or less ok. Might have been a different story if he had been sober, as he would have tensed up. But still he did have an alarming amount of alcohol in his system. We had to pump his stomach, so his throat might be a bit sore. He also has a few fractured ribs and his collar bone is also fractured. But mostly it's just severe brushing along his left side. He was extremely lucky, but will also be feeling it for a while." He paused to look at the paperwork in his hand. "We want to keep him overnight for observation. He has a bump on his head that isn't very concerning but you can't be too careful with head injury's. So just to be sure, we want to keep him in."

She nodded, then jumped a little when someone touched her arm. Looking to her right she saw Prez standing there, right before he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Can someone stay with him?" He asked. Ever the man in charge.

"Normally I wouldn't suggest it as we have him highly sedated at the moment, but I don't have any issues with it as he is in a private room, asper your instructions. And especially after his behavior when he was brought in."

"I'm sorry, he really doesn't like doctors or hospitals at all." She told the man, not knowing why she felt the need to defend his actions but doing it none the less.

"Not uncommon. You will be the one who had calmed him down I take it?"

"Um, yeah. That was me. I wasn't going to stay though. I don't think he would like that." She mumbled the last part, but Prez heard. Ears like a bat that man.
