Griff stared blankly at the door.
It was morning again, and he hadn't managed a moment of sleep. He had been too busy thinking. Running through everything that had happened and everything the nurse has said.
He knew he was making excuses for sleeping with Mags.
He had enjoyed it.
He had gone there knowing that as keyed up as Gin had made him, he would most likely give in and have sex with Mags again. But he just didn't understand why he had gone there knowing that.
Why would he have put his newly forming relationship with Gin in jeopardy?
Was it just because he enjoyed having sex? Or was there some other reason he hadn't thought of before?
He knew he wasn't good enough for Gin, not really. A woman like her didn't deserve to be stuck with a guy like him. But he didn't want to lose her.
He was stuck and didn't see anyway out.
He was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn't see the door open or the woman who walked into the room.
He didn't see the way her eyes travelled over his body, calculating his injuries.
He didn't see the smirk she had on her attractive face.
And he certainly didn't see her start to take her clothes off.
"Hey baby." A sultry voice whispered in his ear. "Miss me?"
Snapping out of his thoughts, his head snapped to face the woman who was pressing up against him. He frowned, what the fuck was she doing?
He pushed her off of him, and she went sprawling onto the floor.
"What was that for?" She whined.
"Are you fucking kidding me? What the fuck do you think you are playing at Mags!"
He looked at her with a clear head, instead of one one full of horny thoughts, for the first time in months.
She was an attractive woman, but that was where it stopped. Why had he been so stupid for so long?
"Oh Griff baby, don't be like that. You and I both know how much you love being with me. Imagine how good it would be to do it here?"
He looked at her as if seeing her for the first time. She truly was fucked in the head, wasn't she?
Did she really think that he would want this now? When anyone could walk in? When he had lost the one person who he should have given his all to?
Amazing sex was one thing but when it was with a psycho, that was something else entirely. And he was just realising that it would never have been enough, she didn't have any kind of depth to her at all. He also had a thought that he hoped was wrong.
"Mags, you didn't advise Gin at all, did you? Tell me you didn't tell her how to seduce me?"
She smiled a toothy smile that set him on edge.
And he knew.
She had.
She had given Gin advice on how to get him to have sex with her, knowing that he would get worked up and want to end it with her. And being a gentleman, somewhat anyway, he would do it face to face. And he, like the fucking chump he was, played right into her hands.
All of the soul searching he had done the night before had paid off, apparently. And for what felt like the first time in months, he realised just had much of an arsehole he had been.
He now saw her for what she was. That also meant that he also saw himself for who he was. And he didn't like it one bit.
He had agreed to her plan willingly.
He had continued with it willingly.
He said that he wanted to end it but knew that he wouldn't.
He had knowingly gone to her place and cheated on the most amazing woman he had ever known, willingly.
She may have manipulated the situation, but he had been a willing player in her game.
That ends. Now!
He grabbed his phone and shot off a quick message. Knowing that he was still outside.
And then he waited.
She had been lying on the floor, trying to look innocent. Trying being the operative word.
Not even a minute had passed before the door was opened with so much force that it may have dented the wall.
Reaper stood there, anger clear in the set lines of his mouth. "Explain?"
"She came in here acting like we were gonna have sex again. I need her gone, but I'm not allowed to move."
"Done!"
That's what he loved about Reaper. He didn't ask questions. He watched as the older man grabbed Mags by the arm and dragged her out of the room, kicking and screaming as she went.
Her clothes left behind.
His nurse, who he had discovered was called May, came in giving the retreating couple a strange look.
"Everything OK?" She asked.
"No, not really. Just had an epiphany. And it is fucking shit."
"Oh?" She tripped on the discarded clothes. "Anything to do with these?" She asked as she held up a tight black skirt.
He nodded, "Just cottoned on her evil scheme. She had been giving Gin advice on how to get me in bed."
"Ah, I'm assuming she knew that you wouldn't sleep with Gin when you were still playing with her then?"
"Yep. And like the shit I am, I allowed it. I didn't see what she was doing. And now it may be too late."
"Hmm," she paused, looking at him suspiciously. "And how did you come to this conclusion overnight when you have had months to realize what she had been doing?"
"I guess I just realised that I never accepted responsibility for my actions."
Just then, the door opened again, and Prez and Reaper walked in. Their faces blank.
May hadn't noticed them yet, and continued talking. "Again, how did you come to this realization?"
Looking at both men, he said, "After you spoke to me yesterday, I did nothing but think over everything, from start to finish. I can claim that she made me have sex with her, but at the end of the day, you were right. She didn't really force me. And I hadn't really wanted it to end. I kept saying that I'd put a stop to it because I loved Gin, but I never did. I was too scared to give her everything, but I was too stupid to realize that sooner."
She sighed, "Do you know why you were scared?"
Now it was his turn to sigh, and no matter how hard he tried to stop them, tears filled his eyes. "She deserves better than me."
All three sighed and shook their heads. May spun around to see the two men at the door. Her posture stiffened before she quickly raced out of the room.
Prez watching her go.
Reapers head turned to look at Prez and noticed his reaction and the look of sorrow in his eyes. Then he shook his own head, "Why do I have so many fuckups to deal with? You're not even my kids! What did you do, boy?"
"Watch how you speak to me, I'm still your Prez!"
"True, but I still remember when you bit my shoe when I wouldn't let you on my bike after your dad said no as well. Now tell me you didn't upset that nice young lady."
Griff watched as Prez looked uncomfortable and stormed out of the room, Reaper following. Most likely to give him an earful.
That left him alone with his thoughts again, and he really didn't like his thoughts lately.
After a few moments, he reached for his phone again.
Only this time, he sent a message that had the potential to cause more pain than ever.'When you are ready to talk, I'll tell you everything.'
Gin, as usual, woke up alone and stumbled her way to her kitchen.
She let out a small scream at the person standing next to the fridge. Beth looked like death. Her hair was all over the place, and she didn't look like she was actually awake yet. "Wow, the bedhair is strong with this one!" Gin laughed.
"Zip it. Where's the coffee?"
"I don't have any." As soon as she said that, a look of pure fury came upon her friends face. "I don't drink it, so why would I have it in my home?"
"For everyone else. You know the normal people!"
She shook her head and walked to the front door, then across to her neighbours door, where she knocked lightly.
As the door opened, she saw that her neighbour must have just gotten out of the shower.
"Gin," she heard Beth whine behind her, right before an "Oh shit!" Followed by the door slamming shut.
Shaking her head, she asked, "Cody, you don't have any coffee to spare, do you?"
The man smiled as he ran a towel over his still wet hair. "For you, honey, I have everything."
"Too early for you to flirt. Just get the coffee before my friend turns into a monster."
"Your wish, my lady, as always is my command." He turned and went towards his own kitchen. A second later, he came to the door with a steaming cup of coffee. Handing it to her, he said, "Careful, it's just brewed."
"Thank you. I owe you one."
"You owe me ten, but who's counting!" He laughed as he threw the small towel away. This action caused the larger towel he had wrapped around his waist to slip. He grabbed at it but missed. Suddenly, Gin was faced with a rather large male appendage.
She knew she should look away but just couldn't. This was the first dick she had seen in months. And it was way larger than any she had the pleasure of experiencing.
"Wow!"
Suddenly her door opened and she was being dragged back in to her apartment. Her eyes were still locked in place.
Why couldn't she look away?
"Oh my God, Gin, you little perv." Beth whispered as she looked through the peep hole. " Why didn't you tell me you had such a specimen living opposite you!"
Gin didn't respond. She couldn't. Her mind had frozen the moment his towel had slipped.
How was she gonna face him again after seeing him naked?
