Gin was sitting in one of the spare rooms on the ground floor, watching over Angel.
They had moved her here not long before the guys had left. Chipper had found a location that he thinks Misty was at, and so they had mobilized.
It had been an impressive sight, all these big, burly bikers rushing out to save a woman they had never met before. They had left the prospects and Surg behind, to keep everyone safe, but she wasn't overly worried about that.
She was worried about Angel, however.
She had come to during their examination of the wounds on her chest and stomach, and had taken one look at them then started screaming. She had had to be sedated, and was still out now.
Corpse had been outside the room when she had started screaming, and she had never seen a man look so broken and tormented. Prez had ordered him to stand outside the room, he wasn't allowed to see her, but he could hear her.
He had gritted his teeth and stood there, listening to the woman's pain. A pain she wouldn't have been feeling if he hadn't of tossed her away like he had.
Gin was no longer a fan of his.
Neither was Beth. And if Beth didn't like you then all hell was likely to break free at some point.
She sighed again when Angel started to moan. She wasn't sure if it was due to the pain she was in or if she was having a nightmare, but Gin felt the need to move over to the bed she was in.
"Shhh, it's okay, Angel." she tried to sooth her. "I'm here. I'm not gonna let anyone hurt you. Shhhh, calm down, now." She stroked her hair and watched with a sad smile as Angel calmed down and fell into a deeper sleep.
The poor woman just couldn't catch a break.
It had happened hours ago, but the sight of Burn carrying her down the stairs still tore at her heart. She continued to stroke her hair as she sat next to her on the bed.
As light knock came from the door, and she checked to make sure the sound hadn't disturbed Angel before she slowly got up and answered it.
Griff stood there, looking exhausted, but so ruggedly handsome it made her heart skip a beat.
"We're back. How is she?" He said in a whisper as he glanced over Gins shoulder at the prone woman in the bed.
"She hasn't woken up yet, but that could be a blessing. God Griff, her torso was so torn up, she is going to have so many scars." A lone tear fell from her eye. "How did the rescue go?" She asked to change the subject.
"Good. We got her, and about a dozen others out. But I doubt she will want anything to do with Brody."
"Why? He's her husband, and he never gave up on her." She could feel Brody's love for his wife, whenever he spoke of her.
Griff sighed, "Gin, he chose someone else. Yeah, it was his sister. But the fact is she blames him as well as her for her being put in that position."
Gin looked sad. "Yeah I know. I guess I just figured that their love story wasn't at an end."
He smiled sadly, "Some stories do end, Ginny babe. But if he even gets a shot at forgiveness, its gonna be a long way off. That kind of hurt doesn't go away."
"I know, you chose Mags over me all the time."
He frowned and grabbed both of her arms. "Listen to me Gin. I may have done some stupid shit where Mags was concerned, but if I was given a choice between you and her..." He cupped her face. "I would have chosen you every time. If I had to chose between you and anyone, be it a brother, a friend or my grandfather, I would still choose you. You're my Pikachu. I will always choose you."
