Griff was sitting next to Gin, holding her hand as they sat in the church hall together with all of the Sinful Riders.

It has been two weeks since Reaper died, and they were now holding his funeral.

Prez had managed to get everything smoothed over quickly, and there had been no investigations over his death.

Mags and the men that they had caught were still waiting for their judgment to be handed to them. It had been agreed that Gin was the one who should decide what to do with them, as she was the victim. But she hasn't been in her right mind lately.

She had accepted his offer of getting her an appointment with his therapist, but it was slow going. She still wanted him to hold her during the night, as her nightmares were still a problem. Amanda had prescribed her some sleeping tablets, but Gin didn't want to take them. She said they made her feel funny and she didn't like it at all.

He let it slide, knowing her like he did he wanted her to be comfortable.

And if he was honest he was happy that she was taking comfort from him.

He sat there, watching her closely. Knowing that she was going to breakdown, and wanting to be able of pull her close when she did.

They had been here for a while and it was getting to the part where some people who wanted to say a few words could stand up and speak was coming up. He would have taken a turn and told them all about how he felt towards Reaper but he didn't want to leave Gin.

He saw Freddric stand up and head up to the front.

"I've know Reaper almost all my life. He married my cousin, Silvia, Sil to her friends. They were perfect together, you only had to watch them together to know how good they were for each other. When he lost her, he was never the same. And when I came out to him, I thought he would either gut me or cut me out of his life for good. I was so scared about how he would react. I shouldn't have been. All he did was look at me for a moment and say 'So what?' then went right back to drinking his beer." He chuckled, Griff had never heard him sound so serious in the short time that he had known him. "I thought that he had just brushed it off, at first, pretended to have not heard anything. But then, when he had taken me out for a drink one night not too long afterwards, he nodded at a man I had been getting the eye from, someone I had previously been involved with, and said. 'Goon then.' I had never been so relieved, the man that had been like a brother to me, accepted me as I was. And not only that, but he had been on the look out for someone for me. It may not sound much to any of you, but it was a different time back then. I was a young man, and in those days it wasn't exactly an acceptable thing to be gay. But Reaper, he didn't care. He wanted nothing but the best for me, for anyone really."

He wiped his eyes, his voice cracking every now and then, then looked up locking eyes with Gin. "He called me a few weeks before he died, I had been out of the country for a few years, but he always made sure to call every now and then. After he caught up with my life he started telling me about this girl who reminded him of Sil. Said that he liked to think of her as his granddaughter. That he would have done anything to keep her safe. He told me that I would like her when I met her, and I do. He was right as well, I don't remember much, but the little that it do remember of her, I can tell that you are a lot like her. He didn't let people in often, but when he did, he would do anything for them. He was the best man I had ever known. There will never be another like him. I'll miss him." he paused, as he struggled to get the words out. "But I am glad that he is at least he is with Sil now." He nodded then he went back to his seat.

Griff didn't miss the fact that Boom was sitting next to Freddric, or that he moved ever so subtlety towards him as Freddric took his seat. He was one of the few gay men they had in the club, but he was also one of the most closed off. So he was happy to see him getting close to someone, even if it did confuse him a little.
