? : nice to meet you dad. 

he wrapped his open arms around my dad as i watched them from the side. 

dad : it's been so long joshua. how are you doing?

joshua smiled warmly. his eyes turning into crescents as his smile kept getting wider. they exchanged greetings and then he proceeded to hug my mom. 

mom : you have grown even more handsome now. 

joshua : aww! thankyou so much 

mom : jeonghan gets mad when i say you look better these days. 

joshua : he is just jealous because you like me more. 

joshua winked at my mom. is it okay to feel jealous of your mom? no it isn't. calm down. calm down. 1 - 2- 

joshua - oh hey jihye!

i tried not to show my rising heartbeat as he came over to me and patted my head. i managed to force a small smile. 

jihye : hi joshua.

mom : jihye! how many times have i told you not to talk to your elders like that. 

mom snapped at me. i felt like crying. why does she have to scold me in front of everyone. especially joshua? 

joshua : oh it's okay. i like it better this way.  ( he said to my mother and then turned back to me and smiled softly) you have grown so much since we last met. 

i felt as if he had punched me. no actually that would hurt less than being reminded that the person i have a crush on thinks of me as a little sister. fuck my life. 

but of course i had to pretend i was okay. 

like always joshua didn't give me attention for more than a few seconds and started talking to my parents again. he told them that jeonghan was running late and would be there soon along with seungcheol and mingyu while the other members will join us for dinner later. 

we walked to the lounge and it was the same as every other stadium. we attended a seventeen concert after almost an year. the concert itself was always fun but i hated the part where we had to meet with my brother's group.

as soon as i felt like i was getting over my little crush (who am i kidding it's humongous), we would be back in another concert and i would fall head over heels for joshua once again. it was pathetic really because he would never feel the same for me.

when we first met (if you can even call it a meeting) i was just 15 and he was 19. it was when jeonghan still used to be a trainee. i wasn't expecting anyone to visit so i just came out of my room in my pajamas while rubbing my eyes like an idiot. 

i was making my way downstairs lazily when i saw joshua and jeonghan laughing and chatting in the living room. the sight of a cute boy in my home woke me up instantly but i was too dazed to realize that one of my feet was hanging on air. i lost balance and screamed before sitting down on the stair as a reflex. 

both of the boys turned their heads to look at me and i felt blood rush to my head. i met joshua's eyes and the great realization that this was my first impression on him dawned on me. 

i placed my palms over my face and ran back to my room. i could hear them laughing behind me and i was sure jeonghan was mocking me. it was the worst possible beginning to ... well nothing.
