Happily ever after

1 year later  jihye pov: 

his face lit up as soon as our eyes met. it felt as if time had slowed down as we walked towards each other decreasing the distance between us with every impatient step. joshua's eyes were sparkling in anticipation and i smiled as he came closer, happiness washing over me as we were finally face to face after more than a month.

dad: we are here too.

mom: i guess we have become invisible now.

joshua chuckled as dad and mom teased him. he smiled warmly at me before hugging my dad who was pretending to sulk.

mom and dad always loved joshua but now they have accepted him as something more than jeonghan's friend, now they always talk about him in relation to me, as their daughter's love for life. 

mom always gets surprised when i tell her about how much he cares for me. she takes joshua's side whenever we have an argument. which isn't often because every time i try to fight joshua remains so calm and composed. he just talks to me sweetly and i melt.

jeonghan came up behind joshua, bouncing with every step. he squinted his eyes at me and i flipped my hair back smugly. he was probably judging my purple highlights. i like to experiment with my hair a lot. two years ago i expected that in the future i would wear mini skirts and more elegant outfits like yeri but i found my own style in college which was the same as my old style, the one i used to hate.

i still wear comfy sweatshirts and hoodies that often feature one or more cats but now i love dressing up on my own accord. i have discovered that life is a lot more fun when you aren't comparing yourself to others.

jeonghan: you look .. okay today.

jihye: if i look good just say it.

joshua: you are gorgeous.

joshua winked at me and jeonghan rolled his eyes as i blushed feeling flattered. 

they were both staring at me expectantly and i realized they were waiting for a hug and just by the competitive glint in their eyes i already knew they made a bet to see who i would hug first.

well i am not that easy to fool.

jihye: scoups~

i ran over to scoups and he laughed as i hugged him. he joined our hands as soon as i moved away and smirked to the two who were sulking behind me.

seungcheol: wow when did you become so cool? 

i giggled and he ruffled my hair fondly. scoups always supports me whenever i fight with jeonghan or joshua. when i looked back both of them were pouting as if i betrayed them. 

seungcheol: looks like they are jealous.

jihye: they should stop making stupid bets

joshua: you should have just hugged me

jeonghan: i should be first.

scoups and i shook our head as joshua and jeonghan started arguing again. they always bicker but i know it's just their love language. i have heard jeonghan thank joshua for loving me so much while joshua said it couldn't have happened if jeonghan didn't trust him. their bond is indeed very special -

joshua: you threw kimchi on my face!

jeonghan: you threw your face on my kimchi!

and weird.

i held on to jeonghan's hand as we walked to the private cabin they had booked. it was a very large restaurant which had beautiful gardens between the cabins and halls connected through pavements lit by fancy yellow lights. joshua was glancing at me on every step but all we could do was exchange smiles as we were outdoors.
