jihye pov:

mingyu: uh i was waiting for the kiss!

jihye: i am not giving away my first kiss so easily.

mingyu: i don't think i would call it easy

yeah. technically a lot has happened. but it was me who was waiting for all these years. joshua can wait a little more.

jihye: i need to make him suffer. don't sympathize with him.

mingyu: is this how girls test men?

jihye: i need to. he had a girlfriend last month.

mingyu shook his head as if he was disappointed. i only want to see how serious joshua really is. he hasn't even told me that he likes me yet and i don't plan to be an easy catch.

mingyu: you are an evil cupcake

mingyu pretended to be scared and i played along with an evil laugh which made him burst into laughter. 

i forced mingyu to stop talking about me and he started telling me about helping a girl in the park. even though he was trying to act nonchalant i could tell he was nervous. 

jihye: you met a girl! 

mingyu shushed me and i placed my finger over my lips obediently.

mingyu: it was your friend from the chicken shop.

i am sure juhee is going to be partying all night in front of her mingyu posters. the thought of mingyu and juhee getting together was exciting me.

jihye: do you like her?

mingyu: are you crazy? i just met her for 5 minutes.

that's what love at first sight is all about. mingyu wasn't meeting my eyes on the video call and i was sure he was in a phase.

jihye: but you thought she was cute.

mingyu: yeah .. i mean kind of.

i grinned and mingyu squinted his eyes judgmentally.

jihye: you moved on too quick.

mingyu: as i said you aren't that pretty.

i sensed a sadness behind his humorous tone and decided to not bring up his feelings for me anymore. nothing hurts more than one sided love and i want mingyu to be happy.

jihye: so when is the date?

something unexpected happened.

mingyu blushed!

i resisted the urge to squeal because first i didn't have the energy and second it was almost morning and everyone else was sleeping.

mingyu has helped me a lot and now i finally have a chance to help him navigate through his new found interest in one of my best friends.

they met for a few minutes.

i can't wait for their wedding.

joshua pov:

i couldn't sleep so i climbed up the stairs once again. i can't believe i almost kissed jihye. and that she didn't even stop me. 

but i could see a hint of doubt in her and i didn't want our first kiss to be regretful. i didn't see her reaction after i gave her a peck but she seemed really shy.

i was a little embarrassed about seeing her but i wanted to check on her fever, which was a lot more important. 

i am not sure if it's just laziness but jeonghan has left jihye's care on me completely. he just asked me to look after her and went to sleep.
