Cute and drunk

Mingyu Pov:

i caught jihye before she could fall. her alcohol tolerance surprised me. even hoshi can handle more drinks than her. i placed my hands beneath her knees and picked her up carefully. just like her brother she was light as air. after glancing to make sure the hallway was empty i tiptoed towards her room.

i can't risk jeonghan hyung seeing her passed out like that after all.

i pressed all the switches until the lights turned on. her room was really pretty. it looks like blue is her favorite color because almost everything is in shades of blue.

i gently laid her on her bed and tucked her in the blanket. she mumbled some incomprehensible things as i made sure she was covered.

when i turned to walk away, i felt as if my shirt got stuck somewhere but when i turned back jihye was clutching my shirt in her fist. i let out a deep sigh before crouching down beside her.

i tried to remove her fingers from my shirt one by one. it was quite easy. i freed the fourth finger and then moved on to her thumb. it was funny that her hands were so small compared to mine.

as soon i removed her thumb, she flexed her fingers and just like that my shirt was in her fist once again. frustrated that my 5 minutes of slow motion hand removal got waste i snatched my shirt away from her grip.

force always works.

mingyu : good night jihye

i whispered softly in case someone hears. she was already in deep sleep. her face was so relaxed. maybe she was seeing something good in her dreams.

i walked to the guest room with my mind filled with thoughts of her.

it was surprising to see jihye cry. and drink. and swear. it was like suddenly realizing that the kid of the family has grown up now.

everyone teases jihye because she is really adorable and naturally cute. but it seems she doesn't know that.

joshua : where were you?

i was dragged out of my mind by shua's voice.

mingyu : jihye was showing me their balcony.

i hopped into the bed beside him.

joshua : are you close to her?

mingyu : not really. she is fun though

joshua hummed in response while scrolling through his phone. i took out my phone as well since i didn't feel sleepy.

joshua : seungcheol got last minute work but he said he really wanted to come here just to see jihye.

mingyu : oh really?

joshua : yeah, he thinks she is really cute. he even bought chocolates for her but he couldn't come in the end.

mingyu : isn't he tired of us. why does he keep adopting more kids.

joshua turned his phone off as he chuckled.

joshua : coups said he would replace dino with jihye if he could and dino got so jealous.

mingyu : i think he would replace dino with anyone if he got a chance.

thank god i am not chan. even though i am not spared either.
none of us said anything for a while. joshua seemed to be lost in his own thoughts.

joshua: she is really adorable. no wonder jeonghan is so protective of her

i hummed in agreement. she is the same age as dino so obviously jeonghan and scoups treat her like a baby.

mingyu: you don't talk to her though?

joshua laughed but he didn't answer. scoups likes to talk to jihye a lot but joshua is quite formal with her. perhaps it's because we haven't seen her much.  scoups comes to jeonghan's home more often.

joshua : i like jeonghan's dad so much. it feels good to have a father figure.

mingyu : you have 12.

joshua smiled and closed his eyes.

joshua : yeah i am lucky. i hope i don't disappoint them.

mingyu : of course not.

joshua : good night mingyu

mingyu : good night hyung. sleep well. and don't worry about noona's birthday in your dreams.

joshua : i won't worry about her anymore.

i turned the lights off and scrolled through my phone a little more. shua fell asleep soon after. he must have been really tired. even though we didn't do much today, he has been low energy since a few days. i remembered i had jihye's number now so i added her on kakao talk.
