Chapter 58

I woke up very exhausted the next day. I yawned and looked around the room. A hot body beside me covered my body. Pumatong sa akin si Jaxxon ay hinalikan ako sa aking labi.

What a beautiful morning!

"Good morning," he whispered huskily.

"Morning," I said back. "Do you have work?"

"I took a day off today," he explained plainly. "Sasama ako sa paghatid sa 'yo sa NAIA," he added. "You won't be here for the next few days, kaya mag-overtime na lang ako bukas," he informed.

Tumango ako. "Okay lang 'yan. You are a great doctor, and you can do your job."

Sabay kaming naligo pagkatapos no'n. Nag-ayos pa ako samantalang si Jaxxon ay nauna nang lumabas dahil magluluto raw muna siya. I just packed my clothes. I forgot to pack yesterday. I decided to just bring one suitcase since my clothes for the modeling will be sponsored by the industry. After doing my daily routine, I went out of the room while pulling my luggage.

Pagkarating ko sa hapag ay naroon na si Aquisha, nakaayos na. Frith and Eliz are also there. Jaxxon is preparing the table while the three of them are sharing their thoughts with my fiancé. Napailing na lang ako dahil sa kadaldalan ni Aquisha.

"Sus, kung alam mo lang, Jaxx! Ang daming reporters na humarang sa 'kin palagi!" she shared. "Hello, people! I am just Zani's manager; I am not an actress or a model! Dios ko talaga! Pakiramdam ko ay artista na ako dahil palagi akong pinagkakaguluhan, eh!"

"Tama na 'yan," I interrupted them and laughed.

"Zani!" Aki acted like she was shocked when, in fact, she already knew that I was there. "Kumain ka na para makaalis na tayo!"

"Tayo? Bakit? Kasama ka ba?" Nagtaas ako ng kilay sa kanya.

"Hindi siyempre! Eh 'di kayo!"

I shook my head and found myself a seat. Pinaghilahan ako ni Jaxxon ng upuan saka siya umupo sa tabi ko. Aki looked at us like she's disgusted, and she even acted like she's going to puke.

"Nagiging fifth wheel na 'ko rito, ano ba 'yan," parinig niya sa amin.

I was just listening and watching them talk to each other for the whole breakfast. Sumabay rin kasi silang kumain sa akin. Kaunti lang din ang kinain ko para iwasan ang pagdagdag ng weight ko. I need this for my career. Si Jaxxon ay sumasabay pa sa pag-uusap nina Aquisha, samantalang ako naman ay hindi na makasingit.

"Naku, Eliz! Bantayan mo nang maayos si Zani, ah?" si Aquisha. "Maraming lalaki roon sa France, baka maghanap 'yan ng iba, mukhang cheater pa naman 'yan!"

"Excuse me?" I reacted right away.

"Oh, defensive?" She arched her brow at me.

"I am not defensive!" I hissed. "And why would I find other men when I already have the best man?" I tilted my head and made a face.

She rolled her eyes at me and ignored what I said.

"Oo na! Kayo na talaga ni Jaxxon ang para sa isa't isa!" she surrendered. "Sana all na lang talaga sa may forever!"

I shook my head at her. She's childlike sometimes; however, I can bear with her. Siguro, may problema na naman ito kay Skynard. Hindi ko talaga alam kung ano ang takbo ng love life niya, eh.
