I entered the book store that Maria—Ana's mum—had mentioned.

It had been quite a while since we had spent some quality time together.I had been so busy with the Mafia Work that I barely could get time to see my girl and have a good time with her.

I felt bad neglecting her constantly even though I was spending a lot of time at her house.But it was necessary.The constant threats were taking a toll on me and Ana's older brothers.

Only I,Anthony,Leo,Albert,Ace,Armani,Matteo, Antonio and our fathers knew about this problem.We had kept it secret from the others especially the women of the house because we knew they would constantly panic about this and might let it out in front of Anastasia.

And right now,the most important thing was to keep her safe and not tell her what was going on around her.We didn't wanted her to worry and instead live her life as she wanted to.My girl had already been confined to safety measures almost all her life and we didn't wanted her to feel like that again.

For 2 months straight,we were getting constant threats from unknown numbers and they changed every time we tried to trace.Every msg had a threat and pictures of Ana being in different places.

They were keeping an eye on her and that's why we had to assign so many bodyguards despite the reluctance of Ana.

What could we have done other than that?

It was the only way to keep her safe and also letting her be free.The first month she didn't knew she had bodyguards around her secretly but then she was made known of having them after I came back from the one month business trip.

The trip was for me to find out about this anonymous person and for that I had to travel and stay at the most dangerous underground place where criminals especially our many Mafia enemies resided.I laid low until I could leave and because of that I wasn't even able to contact my family or Ana or her brothers.

I tried hard to find any information regarding this person who was sending the threats but to no avail.

I had to leave the place soon too cuz my enemies had gotten suspicious of me as someone tipped them off about me residing in that area.

The trip wasn't fruitful and I had to comeback without having any information.

Right now,once again,we got many threats this whole month and suddenly we were fortunate for once.

Whoever the person was had shown carelessness and his IP got revealed.We took it as the last straw to our long search but guess what it lead us to a dead end.Maybe the person found out they had made a mistake and fled away.

Thinking of taking a day off since it had been peaceful this week and we didn't get any msg from that person nor any photo.

I went to Ana's house to look for her but found out she was at a book store.So I drove to there to see her.

My eyes, that were covered by the black shades I had on,looked up at the sign on the top of the entrance door to the store and smiled knowingly.

The memory of our second encounter hit me as I set my foot inside.

The place was the same as it was the last time I had come here.Although,whenever I visited this bookstore once in a long while,it was always swarmed with many people.It was quite a famous place in this area and people preferred coming here a lot.

But today the place was barely filled and numbered people could be seen standing by the bookshelves,or sitting in the corners talking or reading their respective books.
