You loved your job with the Dodgers' social media team. Traveling with the team, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, and engaging with fans online made every day exciting. Today was particularly thrilling because the Dodgers had a series against the Mets in New York. The team plane had landed smoothly, and everyone was eager to settle into their hotel rooms after a long day of traveling especially knowing that they had an off day the next day.

You followed the team into the lobby, your camera bag slung over her shoulder. "Okay, if I call your name, you rooms have been checked in," Michael, the team coordinator announced. "Grab your keys at the front desk and head on up"

After a bit of a wait you collected your key card and made your way to the elevator. Your room was on the 10th floor. You found her room, 1014, and inserted the key card. The door clicked open, and you stepped inside, sighing with relief at the thought of a hot shower and a soft bed after a long day of traveling.

You placed your bags on the floor and walked towards the bathroom, but suddenly, the door behind you opened. You turned around, her heart racing. Standing in the doorway was Andy Pages, star rookie who was also the guy you had feelings for but could never tell him,  with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. Water droplets glistened on his skin, and his dark hair was still damp from the shower.

"Uh, hey," Andy said, looking just as surprised as you had felt. "What are you doing here? This is my room."

Your eyes widened in shock. "Your room? But this is 1014."

Andy grabbed and  held up his key card from the nightstand "Yeah, 1014 it's my room"

The two of you stared at each other for a moment, the awkwardness hanging in the air. Then your cheeks flushed, and you turned your gaze away from his towel-clad form.

"We should probably talk to Michael," you suggested, trying to maintain your composure. You quickly pulled out your phone and called the Michael. In the meanwhile Andy tried to make himself decent, wrapping the towel tighter around his waist.

A few minutes later, you hung up the phone, looking slightly exasperated. "Michael said there was a booking error, and there are no other available rooms in the hotel. So what do we do?"

Andy shrugged, gesturing to the small couch in room "I can take the couch" he said.

You quickly shook your head "Oh no, don't worry about it, I'll take the couch, it's way more important that you get rest"

Andy shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "Looks like were both gonna have to share the bed, I mean we're both adults."

You glanced at the single king-sized bed, your mind racing with a mix of anxiety and excitement. "Uh, yeah totally I guess we can make it work."

The two of you awkwardly navigated the space, trying not to bump into each other as you two settled in. You went to take your shower, trying to calm your nerves under the warm water while Andy took the time to get dressed. You emerged from the bathroom in a cozy longsleeve and sweatpants, while Andy who was already in bed, scrolling through his phone wore a simple t-shirt and sweatpants.

"Goodnight, Y/N," he said softly as you climbed into the bed, keeping a respectful distance.

"Goodnight, Andy," you replied, your voice barely above a whisper.

---

You woke up the next morning feeling warm and comfortable. You blinked your eyes open and realized you were cuddled up against Andy's chest. His arm was wrapped protectively around you, and you could feel his steady heartbeat against your cheek. Your heart skipped a beat as she processed the situation.

Slowly, you lifted your head to look at him. Andy's eyes fluttered open, and he gazed down at you with a sleepy smile.

"Morning," he murmured, his voice husky from sleep.

"Morning," you replied, blushing furiously. "Sorry, I didn't mean to...uh, invade your space."

Andy chuckled, his arm tightening around you for a moment before he let go. "No worries. It was actually...nice."

You bit your lip, trying to hide your smile. "Yeah, it was."

The both of you got up, getting ready for the day in comfortable silence. As you two  left the room to meet the rest of the team, Andy glanced at you, his expression serious.

"Y/N, I know this was unexpected, but...I'm glad it happened," he admitted. "Maybe we could...hang out more? Outside of work?"

Your heart soared. "I'd like that, Andy. I'd like that a lot."

As the two of you headed down to the lobby together, you couldn't help but feel that the room mishap was one of the best things that happened.
