After that encounter with the fan it had been a rough couple of days for you.  You’d spent the afternoon scrolling through social media, stumbling across posts and photos of the other players’ wives and girlfriends. They all looked flawless, and couldn’t help but notice the fans, especially the one that always tried to flirt with Tommy. You tried to brush it off, but the nagging doubt kept creeping back in, whispering that you weren’t enough.

By the time Tommy got back to your place that evening after a game and you were curled up on the couch, a blanket wrapped around you and a faint frown on your face. You looked up when he walked in, managing a small smile, but he could tell right away that something was off.

“Hey, beautiful,” he greeted softly, leaning down to kiss your cheek. “What’s wrong?”

You shrugged, trying to play it off. “Nothing, just… thinking.”

Tommy raised an eyebrow, sitting down next to you and gently tugging the blanket down so he could see your face. “You’re not a very good liar, you know,” he said, his voice teasing but full of concern. “Come on. Tell me what’s going on.”

You looked away, chewing her lip. “I don’t know… I just… I guess I’ve been feeling a little insecure lately. Like, when I see the other players’ wives or the fans who are always flirting with you. They’re so… perfect. And I’m… well, I’m just me.”

Tommy’s expression softened, and he reached out, tucking a stray strand of hair behind your ear. “You’re kidding, right? You’re more than just ‘you.’ You’re incredible. And trust me, none of those people even come close to you.”

You looked down, fidgeting with the hem of your shirt. “I know you say that, but sometimes it’s hard to believe… especially when there are so many people out there who are so much prettier or… I don’t know, more interesting than me.”

He sighed, wrapping an arm around her and pulling you close, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head. “Y/N, none of those people matter. They don’t know me the way you do. They don’t make me laugh like you do. They don’t make me feel the way you do. You’re the only one I want, and I’d choose you over anyone, every single time.”

You leaned into him, resting your head on his shoulder. “I just… I don’t want to hold you back or make you feel like you’re missing out on something.”

Tommy tilted your chin up, his gaze locking onto yours. “Listen to me. You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I don’t want anyone else, and I don’t care what anyone else looks like. When I’m with you, nothing else matters.”

He leaned in, capturing your lips in a soft, tender kiss, his hand resting on the back of your neck as he held you close. You felt the warmth of his touch, the reassurance in the way he held you and slowly, the doubts began to melt away. He pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against yours as he whispered, “You’re everything I want, Y/N. And I don’t ever want you to doubt that.”

Your heart fluttered, and you found herself smiling“You really mean that?”

“Absolutely,” he replied, his thumb brushing gently along your jawline. “You’re beautiful, you’re smartx you’re funny, you're an amazing best friend to June, you're the only person that knows that someone kissing my neck is my sweet spot, you're the only person that can turn me on in seconds, literal seconds… and you’re all mine. I don’t care about anyone else, and I never will.”

You let out a shaky breath, feeling your insecurities fade as he held you close. “Thank you, Tommy. I just… I needed to hear that.”

He smiled, brushing a soft kiss over your lips again, but this time, there was a spark behind it, a warmth that spread through you, making your heart race. His hand slid down to her waist, pulling you even closer.

“Good,” he murmured against your lips, his voice low and full of emotion. “Because I want you to know just how much you mean to me.”

You felt herself relax into him, your arms wrapping around his neck as their kiss deepened. His hands traced along your back, holding you securely, as if to remind you that you were the only one he wanted, the only one he needed.

“Tommy…” youwhispered, pulling back just slightly, your gaze meeting his.

He brushed his thumb over your cheek, his eyes soft but filled with that familiar intensity. “I love you, Y/N. And I’m never letting you go.”

You smiled, your doubts fading completely as you looked into his eyes. “I love you too.”
