You woke up slowly, feeling a soft kiss on your forehead and the warm scent of coffee drifting through the room. You opened your eyes to see Freddie smiling down at you, his eyes bright with excitement. "Happy anniversary, gorgeous," he whispered, setting down a tray beside you.
You blinked, taking in the breakfast he'd prepared. The tray was overflowing with pancakes, fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and, of course, your favorite coffee just the way you liked it. Your heart fluttered as you sat up, the covers slipping down, and you reached for his hand.
"Happy anniversary, Freddie," you murmured, squeezing his fingers. "You did all this?"
He shrugged, feigning nonchalance, but the grin on his face was unmistakable. "Of course. I thought we could start today off right, with all your favorites. And, you know, a little pampering is definitely on the agenda."
Your heart warmed as she took a bite of the fluffy pancakes he'd topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Freddie watched you with that soft, admiring look that always made you feel like you were the only person in the world.
After breakfast, Freddie helped you get ready for the day's surprise activities, playfully refusing to reveal where they were headed. All he would say was, "Trust me; it'll be worth it." The two of you piled into his car, Freddie driving with one hand on the wheel and the other laced with yours, squeezing your fingers every so often as the two of you chatted and laughed.
Eventually, the two of you pulled up to a sprawling botanical garden, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers in every color imaginable. You gasped as you took it all in. "Freddie, it's beautiful," you whispered, awestruck.
He grinned, pleased with your reaction. "Only the best for you, babe."
The two of you wandered hand in hand through the garden, stopping to admire the roses, lilies, and the gentle trickle of water from the fountains.
The both of you eventually found a secluded bench under a blooming magnolia tree, and Freddie pulled you down beside him, wrapping his arm around your shoulders and pulling you in close. The two of you sat in a comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying the peacefulness of the moment, surrounded by nature and each other.
As you two watched a couple of butterflies flitting through the blossoms, Freddie turned to you with a soft smile. "You know, I'm really lucky to have you," he said, his voice quiet but sincere. "I mean it, Y/N. I don't know where I'd be without you. You're my person."
You felt your chest swell with emotion, your fingers instinctively reaching up to trace his jaw. You loved this vulnerable side of him, the part of Freddie that didn't hide behind jokes or bravado. "I'm the lucky one, Freddie," you whispered back, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. "You make every day feel special. Thank you for today... for everything."
The two of you stayed there for a while, sharing quiet kisses and soft words, both of you soaking in the love that had brought them to this moment. After you two had explored the rest of the gardens and taken a ton of pictures, Freddie led yoi to the final destination of the day-a little Italian restaurant with twinkling lights strung across the patio, just like the one you'd gone to on their first date.
As the two of you were seated at a cozy, candle-lit table, Freddie held your hand across the table, his thumb brushing over your knuckles absentmindedly. The two of yoj reminisced about your first date, laughing about the awkwardness, the nervousness, and how neither of you could have imagined that you'd be here, years later, even more in love.
The waiter brought out your food, and Freddie gave you a knowing grin as he lifted his glass. "To us," he toasted, his voice full of warmth. "And to all the adventures still waiting for us."
The two of you clinked glasses, the soft glow of the candlelight illuminating the happiness in both their eyes. As the night went on, you found yourself falling even more in love with Freddie, realizing that this was exactly where you were meant to be-with him, in this perfect moment.
After dinner, you both took a slow walk along the water, with Freddie's arm wrapped around your shoulders and your head resting against him. The both of you had stopped at a small overlook where the city lights sparkled across the water, and Freddie pulled you close, his eyes filled with nothing but love as he looked at you.
"I have one more surprise for you," he murmured, pulling out a small, wrapped box from his jacket pocket. Your eyes widened in surprise as he handed it to you, his cheeks tinged with a bit of color.
Unwrapping it, you found a delicate silver bracelet inside, each charm symbolizing something meaningful in their relationship-the place you two had met, your first vacation, even a tiny coffee cup for all your morning rituals together. Your breath caught as you looked up at him, realizing just how much thought he had put into this gift.
"Freddie... it's perfect," you whispered, slipping it onto her wrist. You threw her arms around him, feeling overwhelmed by love and gratitude.
The two of you stayed there for a long time, holding each other, basking in the love that made this anniversary so special.
