The crowd at Dodger Stadium was absolutely electric, an ocean of blue and white roaring after one of the most iconic moments in baseball history. Freddie had done it. A walk-off grand slam to win Game 1 of the World Series against the Yankees. The first ever in World Series history. The entire stadium and all of LA was alive with a thrilling energy that made the ground feel like it was trembling.

As the players celebrated at home plate, jumping and shouting, security was ushering family of the players to the field.

You could barely wait. Once secuirty pushed that gate open, you ran off, your heart poudning, running across the grass as you searched for Freddie. You were bursting with pride and adrenaline, your mind replaying his swing and the sight of that ball soaring over the fence right over Soto's head. And then you spotted him—Freddie, still grinning, surrounded by his teammates but scanning the crowd, his eyes searching for you.

"Freddie!" You called out, your voice almost drowned out by the noise.

At the sound of your voice, Freddie’s head had snapped in your direction. His smile grew even wider, and he broke free from the group, running toward you. The both of you met halfway, and he caught you in his arms, lifting you right off the ground as you wrapped yours arms around his neck, laughing.

"You did it!" You exclaimed, your voice filled with awe and pride. "I can't believe you just hit a walk-off grand slam!"

Freddie chuckled, setting you down but keeping his arms firmly around your waist. "Honestly, I can't believe it either," he admitted, his eyes shining with excitement. "But having you and my dad here makes it even better. I’ve been dreaming of this moment with you by my side."

You leaned in, planting a kiss on his lips, barely able to keep yourself from smiling long enough for it. "You're amazing. You know that, right?"

He laughed, pulling you close again. "Not as amazing as you for running out here in those heels! I was worried you'd trip trying to get to me."

You gave him a playful shove. "Hey, for you, I'd run across legos!"

Freddie laughed, a warm, full laugh that made your heart race. He brushed a strand of her hair behind your ear, looking at you like you were the only person in the world. "Well, I’d hit a hundred grand slams if it meant seeing you like this every time," he murmured.

Your  eyes sparkled with happy tears. "You don't know how proud I am of you. I've seen all the work you put in, all those early mornings and late nights. And tonight, it all paid off."

Freddie nodded, his voice softening. "Thank you. For all the support, the pep talks, for being there, even when things got tough. I couldn’t have done any of this without you."

Before yoh could respond, the two of you were interrupted by a wave of fans and reporters moving across the field. Freddie held you hand tightly, shielding you from the chaos.

"Stay close," he said, smiling at you reassuringly.

The two of you moved through the crowd together, still locked in your bubble despite all the noise and lights. Finally, when you found a quieter moment, Freddie leaned down, resting his forehead against yours.

"I love you," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity and warmth.

Your face lit up, and yousqueezed his hand. "I love you too, Freddie. More than you’ll ever know."

Freddie smiled, giving you another kiss before laughing softly. "This is just the beginning, you know. We still have more games to go, just three more wins but knowing I have you with me... I feel like I can take on anything."

You looked up at him, determination in your eyes. "And you can. Because I'll be right here cheering you on every step of the way."

Freddie grinned. "I wouldn’t have it any other way."

As the two of you stood there, surrounded by the lights of the stadium and the cheers of fans, you realized that this was more than just a baseball game. It was the moment they’d always dreamed of.
