THE BILLIONAIRE'S CHOICE

CHAPTER 14

They heard someone fall and it sounded very loud. They stood and they saw Drake unconscious beside the pillar. They rushed to meet Drake except Williams. He knew that he was over hearing their conversation, that was probably why he fainted. Williams sighed and he walked to meet his stupid and useless son.

Lilly entered and saw her husband lying unconscious on the floor. She screamed and dropped her bag on the floor. She knelt down and placed her husband head on her laps and she kept tapping him to wake up.

Favour walked downstairs and was wondering why they were screaming. She saw all of them and she saw her son on the floor unconscious. She screamed louder than Lilly and ran to her son. They were tapping him but he wasn't responding.

Favour saw Arizona and her parents, then she saw her husband standing and he looked less concerned about the situation.
She stood and walked to her husband.

"Can't you see your son lying helplessly on the ground." Tears were dropping and Williams was still less concerned. "You only care about that other useless son of yours, Darien."

Favour hated the way her husband had a favorite child and treated the others like they were thrash. Williams created great enmity between the siblings and he gave everything to Darien. Drake might not have been a good business man like Darien but he was really trying his best, but no matter what Drake did, his father found fault in it.

Williams sighed and he went to the dinning room, he took the jug which was filled with water. He removed the cover and he walked to his unconscious son.

"Leave the way!" He commanded.

Lilly stood and left her husband on the floor. He poured the entire jug of water on his son's face without even feeling bad, he looked at him and he remembered why he always told Drake that he was a burden to his life.

Drake woke up and he saw water splashing on his face. He was so startled, he couldn't breath. He screamed and he stood.

Williams frowned his face and he hated the site of Drake. He wanted more money and everytime Drake appeared, he lost money.

"Why were you listening to our conversation?" Williams was very angry and furious.

Drake went to his wife and was very scared of what his father might do. He just fainted and his father cared less.

"Why do you hate me so much?!" Drake screamed and tears was rolling down like tap water. "Are you even my father?!"

"Lower your voice when you speak to me!" Williams shouted back at his son and he had kept ignoring his son behavior only because he is his blood.

"To hell with you father!" Drake screamed louder. "I hate you more than this life itself. I wish I never came to this world as your son."

Williams wanted to slap him but he just remembered that Arizona and her parents were here. He faced them and he forced a smile.

"I'm sorry for this commotion." Williams apologized.

"We would take our leave sir, we'll talk later." Kelvin replied.

"That won't be needed because I have decided that Darien will be the next chairperson." Williams forced another smile in front of Kelvin.

"To hell with you and your position." Drake left the house and his wife followed him.

Arizona and her parents were very delighted to hear this. The main reason why Arizona parents agree to this marriage was because they wanted to gain. They didn't tell Williams about the proposal yet, they wanted Darien to be next chairperson and after that, they would get Arizona married to Darien. They were so happy that Drake appeared at the right time and at the right place.

Drake went outside the house and he stood beside his car. His body was wet due to the stupid water his father poured on his body. Lilly stood opposite him and she really hated seeing her husband in this position. She was smarter than her husband in every aspect and calculated things before she acted. She didn't just act, she thought carefully. Only if her husband were like her, then he would have been the CEO.

Drake started hitting his car and he was screaming and at the same he was crying.

"What's the point of crying now?" Lilly sounded hopeful and she was thinking before acting.

Drake cleaned his tears and faced his wife.

"I hate that man and moreover, I hate that his son, Darien!" Drake was already acting like a psycho and he was going to make matter worse for Lilly.

He never listened to Lilly which lead him to were he was now. He was frustrating to deal with and he was not thinking straight.

"Drake, there is really no hope in begging your dad. Once your dad has decided something then it is final." Lilly tried to persuade him.

"Beg? I will never fall at my feet for that undeserving man." Drake entered his car and he zoomed without taking Lilly or uttering a word.

Lilly was very worried. He is not in a sensible state and he was sounding very dangerous.

Darien was sorting out some files and Ivy was in her office doing her work. They started hearing noise from the staff room and the workers there were screaming. Before Darien could stand, Drake entered the place and his shirt was roughly done, he looked miserable.

About five security men entered inside and they were dragging Drake. Darien had told them never to allow Drake to enter inside. He knew how much Drake hated him, he also imposed threat to his life.

"Leave him and go." The security guards left Drake and they left his office.

Ivy was already in his office and she seemed very startled hearing the sound.

"The drama in this office never seems to end." Darien mumbled and he sighed, "what drama do you want to...?"

Before Darien could finish his statement, Drake landed a smooth blow to his cheek. Darien fell to the ground and blood was running out of his nose. He stood and frowned at his brother. Ivy screamed and she went to Darien.

"Are you okay?" Ivy was almost crying and he was wondering why.

He nodded and went close to his brother. The two of them were the same height and they looked alike but Darien was more handsome.

"Are you happy that you have taken everything from me?" Drake was still holding Darien collar.

Ivy was scared, she called the security before things went out of hands.

"What are you saying?" Drake was making Darien extremely confused and he was beating around the bush.

"We know you are lying!" Drake screamed. "You persuaded father and now he has made you the next chairperson." Darien couldn't believe his ears.

What he was running away from was coming to him. He had devoted his life to this business and he didn't want to anymore. But he will have to continue with this business. He was going to be the next chairperson, which had a lot of responsibilities attached to it.

Drake was about to give Darien another blow but instead Ivy came in like speed of light and she received the blow on her cheek.
