Ivy closed the door and she faced Darien. She sighed and she felt disgusted seeing Arizona.
Darien held her waist and he drew her closer to him. He smiled and he pecked her cheeks.
"I might be losing my position and probably everything but I will always have you." He smiled widely at her.
She chuckled and she wrapped her hands around his neck and she gave him a sly look.
"I intentionally said those words to Arizona." She smiled at him.
"Why?" He looked curious.
"When someone is living with guilt, they can go anywhere to clear their conscience." She answered him and they were still in the same position.
"I thought you had given up on looking for the fund?" Darien turned his head in confusion.
"Like I said, when you are in guilt, you can do anything. I can't leave with you, knowing that you lost your position because if me." She placed her hands on his shoulders.
"What do you mean?" He glared at her confused.
"I might not have idea about the fund but I am a hundred percent sure Drake knows nothing about it. We have to find it first, with or without Chadwick." She removed her hands and she went to the couch.
He chuckled with confusion. He walked to her and he was getting more curious to know what she was up to.
She picked her phone and she texted somebody. He was getting more confused and curious.
"What are you doing?" He gave a confused smile.
"It is very possible that my father gave me something. It is also possible he gave it to me indirectly and I didn't even know I was given." She explained and she was making sense.
"Yes you are right." He snapped his fingers and he found hope again.
He sat beside her and he looked at what she was doing.
"I definitely remember that I used to receive gifts under the orphanage home. It is possible my father gave me and the orphanage gave it to me as a gift." Ivy faced him and she explained.
"Are you sure about this?" He squeezed his face.
"It has to be it. If I really don't remember my father gifting me anything. It is very possible I received it indirectly. I am very certain about that." She sounded confident and she looked confident.
"Do you remember what gifts you were given?" Darien asked her curiously.
"I only received gifts at my first orphanage home. I was transferred out, when I was 10 years. I only received it like five times I think." She sounded even more confident.
"Go on." He looked serious and more curious.
"I was very small, I definitely don't remember what I was given but why I do know is that, they were not given to me when I was transferred out." She explained to him.
"What types of gifts were you given?" He squeezed his face and he got even more interested.
"I remember that they were not what I could eat. The first gifts were mostly papers and I really don't remember what they were."
"Why didn't you say all these when Chadwick was here." He squeezed his face even more.
"I didn't understand then. I only thought about this last night. I have had sleepless night and all I could think was this."
"I am so happy you remembered this." He smiled brightly and he hugged her.
"What is the name of the first orphanage?" He faced her and he asked.
"If I remember correctly, I think it was either family or humility orphanage." She squeezed her face and she tried to remember.
"Don't worry, we would go to both and all our problem will be resolved." He kissed her on the lips for one second.
She smiled and she hugged him.
Arizona had tears stuck in her eyes and she could pour at anytime. She knew this was going to happen but she still decided to come either ways. She felt more embarrassed about the fact that Rocky was here.
Ivy was correct about something. She actually never loved Darien. The thought that came through her mind was how she was going to collect the fund.
She tightened her hand on the car handle. She held her tears and she wasn't in a state to drive. She didn't want to cry but she just couldn't hold it back. Tears dropped for m her eyes and they dropped to the ground.
She felt a guy hold her hand and she knew it was Rocky. She couldn't even turn to him.
"You don't have to face me." His warm and soft voice became a healing to her ears. "Do want you think is best for you."
She felt a little better hearing his voice. She cleaned her eyes and she tried to get herself back together. She got a call from Chinaza, she picked it immediately.
"I have good news ma'am!" Chinaza sounded delighted.
"What?" She sounded sad.
"The name of the first orphanage home is family orphanage."
"Really?!" Arizona sniffed and she seemed happy.
"Some packages were delivered there in Ivy's name but she doesn't even have it."
"I will call you back." She cut the call.
She faced him and she cleaned her eyes.
"Want to come?" She wanted to smile but she stopped herself.
"Anywhere with you." He took her into the car.
