CHAPTER 68

Drake was dressed up and he was more than ready for his inauguration. He wore a very expensive black suit and a black trouser, a white shirt, a black tie, a black shoe and a sliver wrist watch. He dyed his hair black and he styled it to the back.

He had a bright smile but he was still very scared and nervous. He just hoped everything went very smoothly and there was no mistake. He wished Darien should not be present. He sat on his office chair and he was just thinking.

Lilly entered and she looked extremely beautiful. She wore a black fitted dinner gown with no handle. From the kneel side, it was flare to the floor. She packed her brown hair in a bun and she did her usual heavy make up. She wore a sliver necklace and a black 10 inches heels.

She smiled at him and she walked closer to him. She went to his sit and she still smiled. He turned his seat to the right and he was facing opposite her.

"It's time." She exhaled deeply.

"Okay, I will come meet you." He faked a smile.

She smiled and she left his office.

He just hoped everything went as planned. He stood from his seat and he left the office.

He went to the main hall, where most of the event happened. He entered the hall ad it was as big as expected. Everyone were present and th hall was completely full.

He was extremely nervous and it showed on his face. The hall was beautifully decorated and it had different tables were some group of people sat. He saw his wife sitting on her table. Beside her was Phillip, Williams, Charles, Jacob and few other people. They were sitting on the their chair which surrounded the table a their room.

He walked to his sit and he sat at the middle of Lilly and Phillip. Lilly heard his hand and she looked sad but she still forced a smile.

In front of them was a glass of wine and the waiters were serving different people.

The stage was far ahead of them. It had the pulpit and the mic standing on it. The host was there and she was saying things he didn't even hear. All he was waiting for was to here the main stuff.

He shifted closer to Phillip. "What's going to happen now?" He whispered.

"We should just sit and watch why happens." Phillip whispered to him

Drake squeezed his face but he forced a smile.

"I would really like to congratulate you Drake." Charles smiled and he sipped from his wine.

Charles and Williams tapped their glasses together and they were laughing for what he didn't consider funny.

Arizona and Rocky entered and she had a bright smile. She wore similar dress has Lilly was navy blue. She sat where they sat but she sat beside Lilly. Rocky wore the usual cloth, black suit, trouser and a white shirt.

"Hello Drake." She gave a sarcastic smile.

He frowned at her and he completely ignored her.

"The special announcement and the main purpose of this event is about to start." Finally the host was now talking.

Everyone was clapping and they already knew what was going to happen. Drake was more than nervous and he just hoped this day should just end. He hoped Drake didn't give any kind of dramatic scene.

Everyone in the table stared at Drak and they all had a smile on there face. Drake adjusted his clotha nf he gulped.

"We would like to announce that the new owner of DDC company is now Mr Drake Maccurly." Everyone started to clap and they continued clapping.

They all stared at Drake's table and they continued clapping. He stood and he adjusted his cloth again. He walked towards the stage majestically. He sighed and he climbed the stairs. He walked to the host and she left. He stood in front of everyone and it was quite obvious that he was nervous. It was now time to give his speech.

"I promise to serve this position with all my might and power." He smiled and he felt like entering the ground.

Everyone clapped at the short speech and Drake was surprised. He didn't see Darien at all. He sighed and he was about leaving.

Before he got down, police entered the hall and they all gathered the hall. Everyone were surprised and they didn't understand what was happening. Drake didn't expect police, he was expecting Darien.

The police went to different tables and they all showed them arrest warrant.

"You are under arrest Mr Jacob for illegal loans and illegal funds to the company." They handcuffed him and they took him away.

They kept arresting board members and everyone were confused. They also arrested Arizona's parents for the illegal activities they did.

Drake widened his eyes and they was great commotion.

"You are under arrest Mr Williams, for illegal funds and loan of and illegal transaction." They handcuffed Williams and they were dragging him out.

Drake ran and he ran very fast. He dragged the cops and he stopped them.

"We received complaints from this company and we have a warrant for all the illegal activities that has been happening here." One of the police explained to him.

"But who called you guys." Darien frowned his face and he was so scared.

"Mr Darien. He gave us all the prove we need to get all of them arrested." He dragged Williams and he was moving.

Williams was screaming and he was very angry. He was really protesting. Everyone were screaming and they were running as fast as they could.

Drake was so angry and he felt like killing Darien. He walked outside and he saw Darien. He was with Ivy and Jack.

They all dressed nicely and they all had a smile on his face.

Drake dragged his collar and he looked at him brutally.

"What are you doing?!" Darien removed his hand with force. "I'm sorry to say but you cannot take the position."

Drake was panting heavily and he was on great shock.

"What are you saying? I have already been appointed." He squeezed his face..

"You are so wrong." Darien showed him the file that Ivy father had signed.

"We were able to get the secret fund, I am so sorry Drake but it's all over." Darien smiled at him.

Drake fell to the ground and he was heartbroken.

Darien dramatically passed him and he entered the hall. He saw all the commotion that was happening. He had a smile. He saw Williams protesting and he went to him.

"You will surely regret this Darien!" He squeezed his face and he looked at him dangerously.

"Think about how to take revenge on me when you are in prison clothes." Darien was panting and he was so happy to see him this way.

"Darien! Darien! After all I did for you!" Williams was not calm at all and he was panicking.

The police dragged him away but Darien could still here him chanting his name.

Arizona and Rocky came outside and they faced opposite them. The five of them smiled at each other.
