CHAPTER 10

Arizona sighed and scoffed at the site of Ivy. Ivy was the biggest obstacle in her life and she couldn't risk Darien falling in love with her. She has to do something about her.

"You can't force someone to marry you." Ivy glared at her and she wasn't even scared about the consequence. "You are obsessed with him and you claim that this is love. You have completely gone mad."

Arizona was so shocked. Who was this idiot talking to?

"It seems like you haven't learnt your lesson." Arizona was walking towards Ivy and she about to slap her.

Ivy held Arizona hand and the scene happened again but this time Arizona was the one who received the slap. Ivy made sure she slapped Arizona very hard.

Arizona held her cheek and couldn't believe what had happen. Darien was surprised and he was very delighted to see this. What he couldn't do, his secretary did it.

Arizona faced Darien and she had a teary eyes. She yearned for Darien all these years and it had never happened. He had never stood by her side. Arizona left the office with tears stuck in her eyes.

Ivy felt so relieved, she risked her job but she finally put that psycho to a mental asylum. She felt fulfilled and she couldn't stop herself from smiling.

She went to Darien and stood. "I'm sorry sir."

Darien didn't say anything, he continued with what he was doing.

Ivy dropped the file and went to her office. She packed her stuff and was preparing to leave. It was already few minutes to 6. She had to go home. She took her bag and left her office.

"Goodbye sir."

He nodded and she left his office. She was waiting for Emily and she didn't see her all day.

She left the company and she saw Emily waiting outside. She walked up to her and was smiling, she was very happy to see her. She walked to her front and she saw her best friend crying. Ivy was shocked, it was very rare for her friend to cry. It had to be a serious matter.

"What happened?" Ivy frowned her face and she was so eager to know why she was crying.

Emily kept on crying and she hugged Ivy. Ivy was flustered, she hugged her back and she was feeling so sad and she was almost crying.

"I'm pregnant." Ivy was flabbergasted and she didn't know how to reply her.

She removed her body from Emily and faced her.

"Have you gone mad?!" Ivy sounded happy which made Emily to stop crying but tears were still stuck in her eyes. "You're close to thirty, you aren't married and you have never given birth. This is a really blessing for you."

Emily was very confused, she was crying but her friend was speaking parables.

"What are you saying?" Emily cleaned her eyes.

"Who's the father?" Ivy asked.

"I am thinking of three men." Ivy hit her friend's back and they both laughed.

They hugged each other and they went home together.

Ivy left her office and she went to Darien.

"Here's your file sir." She placed the file in his hands.

He analysed the file and she stood opposite him like a soldier.

"We have a meeting with all the board members in the next two hours, but before that I want us to go now."

"Why?" Ivy raised a brow.

"I want to confirm something." He stood and walked out of his office without waiting for Ivy. Ivy ran and followed him at his back.

Darien had notice some illegal funds going into the accounts of the shareholders. Darien didn't like doing business but when he was committed to something, he did it with outmost sincerity and hated when people did things illegally. It could also ruin the image of the company which he had kept for years. He knew if he told his dad, his dad will cover it so the money and income will not reduce.

He entered his car and Ivy followed him. He drove extremely fast and was very determined to stop this illegal funds from happening. After twenty minutes, they got to the company's warehouse. This was were his father kept all the illegal activities of the business. Only a few people knew about this place, even his stupid brother knew nothing about the place.

He got out of the car and Ivy followed him. Ivy was curious to know what was happening and why he was taking her, when he could have gone alone.

Darien had the key to the warehouse. Only he and his father had the key, his father taught him business and was able to trust him with the key. He walked to the warehouse which was like a storey building. He walked officially and Ivy kept following him at his back. They reached in front of the building and they saw two men standing guard at the place. The two men bowed and they immediately opened the door. This wasn't his first time here and they knew Darien queit well. He was their boss and they respected him.

He entered the place with Ivy and he was very careful. They walked for a while and finally they stopped by the door. Darien looked at his phone and he went to his whatsapp, someone had sent him a picture. It was a picture that looked exactly like this door. He had already made enquiry before coming. He spoke to manager of the warehouse and he told him not to give information to people especially his father. He used the key and the door opened.

They walked into the place and it was dusty, everywhere was dark but there was a  bulb. The room wasn't really big but it had a lot of safes which was arranged according to the name of illegal funds that was introduced to the business and was approved by his father. He couldn't believe his father, he only cared about making money and becoming more richer. He wasn't even surprised a bit.

"Check the name of each safe, tell me if you see zini.com drinks." That was probably why he had bought Ivy, to make his work easier.

The safes were many and he had just given Ivy lot of work. The room was small and choking but it was full with safes.

They both were looking for the safe and fifteen minutes had already passed and there was no sign of what he had asked. They continued searching and their bodies finally met, their backs touched each other and they turned around to face each other.

"Sorry." She chuckled and he gave a warm smile.

They were having fun until they started hearing footsteps. They both looked at each other and they felt like criminals.

"Wh..." Before Ivy could talk, Darien covered her mouth and was very scared.

He knew no one could randomly come here except his father. His heart started beating faster than usual and he was very scared. He didn't know what to do.

Darien's prediction was true, it was Williams and he had two bodyguard at his side. They were walking to the door, they reached the door and were standing opposite it.

If his father saw him, things could get worse. There was literally no place for them to hide in the room. Darien just remembered that a couple came here for site seeing at the back of the warehouse and they were going to enter this passage to get there. Darien had one option. He saw the door and he saw Ivy's lips.

"Open the door." Williams ordered the bodyguard.

Darien stared at Ivy and he turned her back to the wall.

"Close your eyes." Darien turned his face and bent it to reach her face. He bought his lips closer to hers and their lips finally met.

He squeezed his lips against her's and moved his lips slowly and they both found themselves kissing each other.
