Darien couldn't believe that he said that to Ivy, he was starting to regret it but he thought it was the best decision for both of them. Darien took his coffee from the kitchen and went to his sitting room. He sat on the couch and he was watching news while sipping his coffee.

Darien's phone rang and he checked who it was. It was Williams sir, that was what he saved his dad's name. He picked the phone and he was wondering why he called. He hardly called him expect of it was for a very important business.

"Hello sir."

"Darien come to my house in the next one hour."

"Can't we do the business over email." Darien really didn't want to go there, that house felt like hell for him. The memories of that house were like burden to him and he hated it with passion.

"No, it's not what we can talk over the phone. Come in the next hour."

"Yes sir." Darien hanged up.

*****
Darien wore black suit, black trouser and white shirt. He entered inside the house he never wished to enter.

He entered and he saw his father sitting at the dining table. He walked inside and he bowed his head.

"Have your sit." Williams commanded.

Darien sat beside him at his left. He was very uncomfortable and he wanted his father to talk quickly and he hoped he did not see Drake.

"I have made my decision for him who would become the next chairperson after me." Williams didn't look at his son but faced straight.

Darien what his father said and he he knew he couldn't say no. What was he going to do? He should have looked for an excuse not to come. He wasn't really ready to take over the position or bare the burden of the title of the next chairperson. Darien squeezed his hands under the table and he was boiling with anger.

"Darien," his father finally faced him, "I am going to give you the title of next chairperson."

Darien felt his whole world collapsing like pieces of card and his dad was the one to remove the card from the button. Darien tightened his eyes and he silently sighed.

"Yes sir." He faced his dad and they saw each other's face, *I'll take my leave now."

Darien was about standing but for the first time, his father held his hand in a long time.

"There are some files that are in your room, take it and give to Mr Rama." When his father held his hand, he felt like they were father and son but as usual, his father destroyed the relationship with business.

He nodded and bowed his head. His father left his hand and he was so frustrated, he didn't want to go to the room that he grew up and the room that Drake bullied him in. He hated his brother even more than the devil. His brother tormented him throughout his childhood only because he had business sense than his brother.

Darien went upstairs and he he went to his room. This house bought memories back and he just wanted to get the file and leave. He entered his room and it was the same as he left it. He saw the file and he was happy, he picked it and he was about to leave. At his door step awaited the devil.

He saw Drake and he knew what he avoided was waiting for him. Drake entered the room and his eyes were red and he was obvious that he was entering to kill him.

Darien walked closer to him and he was ready to kill him before he did. The two brothers were opposite each other and they both had plans of killing each other. They both of them held their collars with force and they were ready to send blows. Before anyone could do anything, Favour entered.

She saw her children in that position and she was very startled. She walked inside and she pushed the two of them.

"Have the two of you gone mad?" She stayed in between them.

She faced Drake and she was taking care of him, she was dusting his body and was treating him.

"Are you okay?" She was so worried about Drake and didn't face Darien.

Darien scoffed and he hated his mother as much as he hated Drake.

"Like mother like son." Darien was about leaving but his mother held his hand back.

"What do you want?" She faced opposite Darien, "you have taken everything away from him, the business, his father, his reason to leave and now you also want to take his life."

Darien looked at his hand that his mother was holding and he moved his eyes to her. The mother removed her hand and she frowned at him.

"I hate you more than my own life." Darien felt like crying but he remained strong.

Darien yearned for his mother when he was younger but she gave to this undeserving brother of his. He always wondered if his mother was his biological child. He had forgotten that he had a mother or a family ever since he was 15years. Him seeing reminded him that he really never had a family and that he was alone.

Darien eyed the both of them and left the room with his file.

Drake got a call from Phillip, he cut the call and he left the house. He didn't want to talk to him on phone but in person. He went to a cafe and he saw Phillip. He sat opposite him and Phillip bowed his head.

"Have you gathered all the information?" Darien whispered.

"Yes sir." Drake brought his head closer, "that girl is very powerful, she owns a secret fund worth billions of dollars."

"Billions of dollars?" Drake widened his eyes.

"Yes." Phillip dropped a file on the table and he showed him the evidence.

Drake scrolled through it and he was analysing it. He was surprised, it was true. Ivy father used to work in their company and he got his hands in the billions dollars secret fund which was meant for his daughter Ivy. She was with the fund and she could use it to destroy the DDC.

"Sir if we can get our hands on the fund, we can not only become the owner of the company but also own billions of dollars." Phillip knew how much he would gain from this. He wouldn't have to work for others again.

"So what do we do, to get the fund?" Drake was already finding hope.

"We have to eliminate her."
