CHAPTER 28

Arizona and her parents entered Williams mansion. Before they entered, they had called Williams and they told him they had an important discussion with him.

They entered the house and they saw a maid dressed in her uniform. She bowed down and five other maid were at her back, they also did what she did.

"Mr Williams said he was expecting some visitors." The maid opposite them spoke with an angel voice and she had a broad smile that filled the heart.

"Yes." Arizona replied in a rude way. "Where is he?"

"Come ma'am, I will lead you." She smiled even more and she turned around and as usual, the other maids followed her.

She started moving and they followed her. She took them up the stairs and she moved quietly. After few minutes of walking, she finally opened a room and she bowed her head and she stretched her hands into the room.

Arizona parents entered the luxurious room and Arizona followed them at their back. The place wasn't a room but instead it was like a mini sitting room, it had a dinning in the middle of the room. Williams was sitting at the center and he was definitely waiting for them.

"Good day Mr Williams." Fiona gave a bright smile and they walked into the place.

Arizona didn't expect to see such a room, it was too extra. They entered and they sat beside Williams. The dad, mom and Arizona sat side by side with each other.

"Was it too stressful ?" Williams asked in a jovai way.

"No no no. The maid there made it simple with that her smile." Kelvin cracked a joke and everyone bursted out laugh except Arizona.

Arizona rolled her eyes, she wanted to leave here quickly. She just wanted to make an agreement with him and then see whether she could finally get what she had been desiring and craving for all these years.

"Let them bring the food, then we can talk." Williams had said after they stop laughing.

The maids walked in with plates of food and they set the table in a gueridon style. They arranged the table and they served drinks alongside with the food. After they served, they all bowed their head and they left the room.

"Dig in!" Williams gave out a small laugh.

They smiled and they started eating. They started eating and the silence remained. Arizona gave her parents sign but they didn't know how they were going to start the conversation. Arizona was already getting angry, she did not come to eat and her foolish parents were eating.

"I can't do these." She dropped her cutleries and they sounded. "Mr Williams we have actually come here to fix an alliance between Darien and I. I feel that it is going to strengthen our bond."

Fiona turned to her daughter and she glared and eyed her. She rolled her eyes at her mother and she faced Williams.

"Do you agree?" She looked at his eyes and she meant business.

Kelvin gulped and he was regretting taking his daughter, she spoiled everything for them. He had to do something to change his mind.

"Um, yo...u see Mr Williams I..."

"I agree." Williams interrupted Kelvin. "it would be so stupid of me not to agree to such a beautiful proposal. Your daughter is pretty and my son is handsome. This is a match made from heaven, no one can stop it."

They were all so surprised especially Arizona. She was so excited and she didnt realize when she started smiling. Arizona stared at her parents and they were also smiling.

"It seems like we are going to be in laws." They laughed again and this time Arizona joined them. "I will call Darien now and tell him the great news."

Things were working in Arizona's favour and she couldn't stop herself from smiling.

Williams picked his phone and he dialed Darien's number. After two seconds, he picked the call.

"Hello Darien."  Williams tune changed to formal.

"Yes, sir."  His son followed his footsteps, he talked formal.

"Come to the mini sitting room at my house."  He commanded and he cut the call before he could reply.

Darien entered the room and his face was expressionless. He saw Arizona and her parents and his expressionless face, changed to shock. He widened his eyes and he hoped his worst fears didn't come to reality. He slowly walked, he reached the table and stayed beside Williams at the left and he was facing opposite Arizona and her parents.

"You called me sir." His voice became deeper and dimmer and he was starting to sweat.

"Yes I did." He faced Darien and his face was kept straight. "We have fixed an alliance with your new in laws."

Darien widened his eyes and he stared at his father. He started sweating more and profusely. He squeezed his hands under the table and he couldn't do this. When he finally liked someone, his stupid father was going to fix his alliance. Was this a movie or a book? It felt like a cliche love story, where he had to fight for his love.

"Why do you look so fluttered?" Williams raised a brow. "Are you that happy that you are getting married?"

They all bursted into laughter again except for Darien. Arizona stared at him and she saw how he was behaving. She didn't know why she wasn't happy, it was what she always wanted but she hated seeing him act like this towards her. She knew very well he was against the alliance.

Darien was shaking and he was sweating more, he continued squeezing his hands under the table. This place was suffocating him and he had to leave before he did anything dangerous. He stood and everyone glared at him, they were all confused. Darien didn't mind, he was frowning and he wasn't ready to talk.

"What is it?" Williams sounded angry.

Darien ignored his father again, he left the place without uttering a word. Darien heard his father call out his name loudly but he ignored him completely and he left the house.

He entered his car and he was so furious. He wasn't in a state to drive at all but his father's word came flashing back.

He started driving car, he was on the road and he was speeding crazily. He was almost crying but he had to stay strong. He kept thinking about it and vented his anger on the car.

He drove for minutes and he was safe, no accident. He was in front of his house. He parked his car and he went out of it. He left his car and he went to his door step. When he got there, he saw the person he was yearning for.

"Ivy?" He broke down with tears.
