CHAPTER 18

Drake was so shocked and he said himself on the floor. He held his cheek and he faced his dad.

"Who do you think you are?!" For the first time Williams raised his voiced, "I've been putting up with you for so long only because you are my son. If you do anything to upset me, I'll forget that relationship. Now get out of here and never come!"

Lilly saw Williams behavior and she knew her husband wasn't in the right state of mind to apologize. She bent and picked her husband, she was dragging him but he held his cheek and kept looking at his father dangerously. Lilly draged him out of the house and they stood beside their car.

They stayed opposite each other and his eyes were red and he was boiling with anger.

"What did you do?!" Lilly screamed and she felt like slapping him.

He didn't reply her but glared at her and he was regretting listening to her.

Doris parked her car and she saw her brother and her sister-in-law. She saw them fighting and she already knew why they were fighting. She removed her sun glasses and checked herself in the car window. She had wore a white top and a black mini shirt that was very short. She wore a black jacket that was extremely expensive and a black heeled boot.

She dyed her blonde hair black and she had put heavy makeup. She walked out of her car and she wore her sun glasses again. She wanted to confirm how beautiful she was. She went and she reached her brother.

"Hey there." She smiled and removed her sun glass. She gave a dramatic entry.

"Let's talk." She gave a sly voice.

Drake and Lilly sat on the couch of Doris's house and Doris was in the kitchen.

She came out with two mugs in her hands. She walked to them and she served them coffee. After she served them, she sat opposite them.

"I know what you guys want and it would also be beneficial for me too." Doris went straight to the point.

"Doris I don't know why you brought us here, but do you realu know what I want." Drake took a sip from his coffee.

"Let's make a deal with Arizona," Drake sighed and he continued to listen. "Arizona and I are really close and we can strike a deal that would benefit everybody."

"Explain in details." Drake became more curious.

"Yes." Doris nodded her head, "We have to make sure that Darien gets married to Arizona."

Drake started boiling and fueling with anger. It was Arizona and her parents that brought that stupid deal to his father and they made Darien the next chairperson. His sister was wasting his time but he still wanted to hear what she had got to say.

"The truth of the matter is that Arizona only wants Darien and she is really obsessed with him." Doris cleared her throat and things were becoming more clear to Drake. "We would get Darien married to Arizona, Arizona and Darien would go abroad after their marriage and dad has no other option than to give you the company."

Doris was already making more sense but Lilly and Drake were wondering how Doris was going to gain from this deal.

"But how are you going to gain?" Drake raised a bro at her.

"When you have become the CEO of DDC, you will make me shareholder even if it is two percentage, as long as I get money, I don't mind you being the owner."

Doris knew she would gain a lot of Drake were to be the owner and allk she needed to do was to convince Arizona somehow.

Ivy was waiting for Emily to wake up but she wasn't awake yet. Darien had gone back home for some important work and she was now left all alone. She stayed outside the room and sat on the waiting chair. She was able to beg Darien and she took a week off from work.

Ivy say on the chair and she needed to get some fresh air, the hospital was suffocating for her. She then decided to leave and take a walk round the hospital and come back later. She stood she kept walking round the hospital without a final destination.

As she was walking, a man tapped her from the back. She was so startled and she turned back to see who it was. To her surprise, she saw the man she was hoping to see.She smiled at Darien and he smiled back.

"What are you looking for here sir?" Ivy spoke formal.

She noticed a nylon in his hands and she was wondering what could be in it.

"Oh, I came to accompany you and I bought this for you." Darien shower her the nylon and he dangled it in the air.

Darien was meant to be in the office right now and she was wondering why he was here with her.

"What's in it?" She smiled and she was really curious to know what was going to be in it.

He smiled and he opened the nylon and she could see sncks and drinks.

"Oh my, you didn't have to bother." He made her heart melt and she couldn't believe he left work just to give her food.

"I knew you would be alone and I really didn't want that to happen." She felt her beat faster and she was starting to fall for him and his kind gestures.

"Thank you." She spoke to him like they were friends and see didn't add sir.

"Where were you heading?" He asked.

"I was going on a walk." She gave a soft smile.

"Let's go together." He smiled back at her.

She nodded and they were now walking together side by side. They walked for few minutes and they reached outside the hospital. There was a small bench outside the hospital, they sat on it since they were already tired. They sat close to each other and the silence grew thicker.

"You didn't have to bother coming here." She said in soft tune and her heart was racing faster.

He faced her and he moved his body closer to hers. Her heart raced faster than before. She gulped and his lips was almost in contact with hers.

He closed his eyes and turned his face to the right, he was bringing his lips closer to hers. She closed her eyes and she was waiting for him to touch her lips.

Darien moved his lips closer and it was almost in contact.

"Darien!" A female voice interrupted them.
