"What?! No! Nein!" You staggered backwards.

"Yes! Yes!" (Friend's name) grinned.

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Nope!"

"Yep!"

"No, no, no!"

"Yes, (f/n)."

"Why?"

"I don't know why you love him!"

"But, you're the love expert!"

"Not always!"

You both bursted out laughing.

"But, seriously, I don't." You said.

"Yes, (f/n). You do."

"Maybe."

"Yes, you do! Don't deny it! Wait, what?"

"No, I don't."

"Let's get you home." (Friend's name) smirked and left the house with you.

Once you reached your house, you hugged (friend's name) and entered the house.

"Hi, sweetie!" Your Mom yelled from the kitchen.

"Hey, Mo--" You entered the kitchen and froze. Your Dad was standing there, smiling. "Dad!" You yelled, running to him and hugging him. He returned the hug and said, "Hey pumpkin."

"You're really here!" You grinned once the hug was over.

"Yep!" He chuckled. "I'm sorry that I haven't been around much, kiddo."

"It's fine. You won't be gone now, right?" You beamed. When he stayed silent, you repeated, ". . Right?"

He let out a sigh. "I wish it were that easy, buddy. But, I can't be here, at home, forever."

"I didn't mean forever. I know that, Dad." You replied, still holding onto hope.

"Well. ." He began.

Your eyebrows furrowed. "What is it?"

"I have to return in a week." Your Dad said.

You blinked, letting go of the hope you had been holding onto. "A week?"

[ (d/n) = Dad's name. (m/n) = Mom's name.]

It was your Mom's turn to be surprised. "Only a week, (d/n)?"

"(m/n), (f/n), I have to help the country." He said.

"I know. But, we rarely see you." You replied.

Your Mom nodded. "Yeah. And when we do, it's not that long."

Your Dad sighed. "I know. Believe me, I don't like it like this."

"Honey, I miss you being here." Your Mom told your Dad.

"I know. I miss being here too." He went over to your Mom and cupped her cheek with one hand, forming small circles with his thumb. She put her hand on top of his.

"I wish you could stay longer." You said quietly.

Your Dad's expression softened as he looked at you. He walked over to you. "Me too. And you've been so strong getting through this, baby girl." He smiled sadly.

You smiled sadly too. "I'm really glad you're here. It's better than a day."

"Yeah. You know the country needs soldiers. And I appreciate you letting them have me there." (d/n) wrapped his arms around you, hugging you.

You returned the hug. "I need you to live and be safe."

"I know, sweetie. And I will." He whispered.

"Promise?" You whispered back.

"Promise." He replied.

You laughed lightly before the hug ended.

"I'm going to let you two have some alone time. I'll be in my room." You started walking to your room.

"Thank you, (f/n). I'll spend more time with you tomorrow. And I'll spend more time with both of you during the week." Your Dad promised, smiling.

"Okay." You grinned and went to your room.

You lied down on your bed and stared at the ceiling.

Why is it so confusing? I don't love Kitstein! I should hate him! . . But I don't.

You glanced at your phone that was next to you, on the nightstand.

No! Don't text him. You know what, (f/n)? Don't worry about him at all! Your Dad is here.

But, you had a strong urge to text him. Instead, you called (friend's name).

After the second ring, she said, "Hello?"

"Hey. It's (f/n). I need some help. . Should I text Jean?" You asked.

"Yes! Do it! He's your soul mate!" She yelled.

"No, he isn't!" You replied, blushing.

"Just text him." She sighed.

"What should I text?" You let out a sigh.

'Hey' or 'Hi. I'm sorry.' And then go from there." She suggested.

"Okay. Guess what?" You smiled.

"What?" She asked.

"My dad's home. . For a week." You sighed and stared at the ceiling again.

"Aw, I'm sorry that it's only a week." (Friend's name) said.

"It's fine. I'm going to text Jean now. I'll text you how it goes. Bye."

"Bye." She replied before you hung up. You brought up your texting conversation with Jean and typed:

Hi. I'm sorry, I should have understood and let you explain. So many people have walked out of my life. I just don't want to get hurt again, if that makes sense. I'm really sorry and the last thing I wanted to happen was to lose you. You're my best friend.

You sent the message before you copied and pasted it, sending it to (friend's name).

Guys, you REALLY need to read this. Okay?

Please NO dirty comments or else I will have to delete them.
I do NOT want to delete all of those comments. So, please, keep it to yourself in your mind. You guys will probably do as I ask, because that's nice. Can you please do that for me? :)

All serious author-chan moments aside, if you like The Vamps as much as I do, they will be appearing on an episode of Jessie tomorrow (where I am) AKA Friday. At 8pm, 9 or 9:30 central, I don't know. You might want to check what time. [DON'T TRUST ME WITH THAT.] I'll be watching it. ~holds up a sign~ GO BRADLEY, JAMES, TRISTAN AND CONNER.

ANYWAY, what do you guys think? Your Dad is in the army btw in the story.

If your Dad is actually in the army or a loved one, know that it will be okay. You're so strong to be okay through this. It will be alright and your country appreciates you staying at home, being brave.

You are awesome.

Bye. I love every single one of you! <3
