Shattered is exasperated, Star is excited and things come to a head.
Ink has zero idea what is happening right now but at least he isn't alone in his confusion..wait, why is Error looking so angry right now?

Shattered? Multiverse

Outertale

"It's nearly done.~ It's nearly done.~"

"Are you ever going to explain what you mean?"

"Don't be silly, Shattered. It should be obvious what is happening"

"It's really not, Star. Not all of us can read Code like its a simple story book"

"So close to being done, goopy positivity~"

Shattered sighed in their mind at the babybones cryptic words and even more so when they kept switching how they addressed him, wondering if he would ever understand how their mind worked.

He flexed the few tentacles he had under control but mainly let Star control what they wanted, rather enjoying just going with the flow. He couldn't recall a point in his life where he felt so oddly at peace, their eyelight glowing brightly in happiness as they both gazed up at the stars, the sight more beautiful then he ever remembered, it almost like he was seeing them for the first time.

"I really like stars, Shattered. They are so pretty and yet a constant in life. Even between multiverses they tend to have a similar pattern. It's kind of funny how Creators can be so different yet similar at the same"

"Is that so? Tell me more about the stars"

He intently listened as Star began regaling him about all the stars and pointing out their favourites, the babybones oddly knowledgeable at such a specific subject but he couldn't say he minded the constant chatter.

Their body ended up sitting on the highest hill to get the best view, having plenty of time to just enjoy the moment before they were once again interrupted.

The merged form of Star and Shattered had changed over the month, their SOUL's healing in ways thought impossible by most.

Shattered's mind had slowly become clearer and more whole as time passed, able to think without bouts of mental instability getting in the way, something he had not experienced since he was created.

Star's changes were far less visible but if anyone saw their SOUL they would take note how less fragmented it looked, almost like broken pieces had been found and melded back together.

The two seemingly very different monsters were more connected than most could ever fathom, like they were parts of a whole that had been separated by some turn of fate long ago resulting in rather detrimental effects to both of them.

Sci had come closer to the truth then most but the paranoid scientist had burned the results before he could look them all over, now it was only Star who knew the most information right now.

The babybones in question had an instinctive reaction when they first saw Shattered, feeling long familiarity and an urge to get closer to them. They might have done that in the least conventional way possible and it was lucky they didn't suffer any other adverse effects, truly a miracle how smoothly this merge went almost like a Deity had given a little push to make sure it worked.
