"It's a misunderstanding! Please don't smite me!"
"Just stand still and let me cleanse the world of your filth. How dare you go against my sacred duty!"
"I haven't even caused any Negativity! I've just been sitting there!"
"Who cares about that?! My Poor precious Gods! What will they think of me now?! I bet they will be so dissapointed but your head should show how truly sorry I am to fail in my duty!"
"Have you gotten crazier since we last met?! Where is your logical side gone?! What are you even talking about?!"
"DIE!"
Sirius just about caught his breath after nearly losing it in laughter for a solid five minutes, this entire situation was so insane he couldn't help but laugh even harder at it all. This entire scene felt like it was all out of a cartoon, most of the furniture overturned as Dream tried to catch the now skeleton Nightmare, it pretty obvious that Dream was not going to be negotiated with in any manner.
"At least this proves we are safe with this babysitter. They are pretty good and very amusing. By the way, you owe me money, Sirius"
He cursed when Vega reminded him of that, grabbing out some coins and passing it over to the very smug babybones who correctly guessed when Dream would snap and lose their cool visage they had meticulously kept up around them. It was almost disturbing in a way how long they held it in for as he could sense a rather unhealthy dose of obsession towards his parents that had gradually transferred to all of them.
He had seen it in the way they had nearly bitten the head off a servant who got a tad too close to Vega and to be honest he wasnt as disturbed by it as he thought, wondering what it said about him when he simply saw it as an affectionate gesture.
"Look at the family we are in, Sirius. It was to be expected we would see this as normal. You do recall the story Jammy relayed about what happened to their birth parents, right?"
He sighed when Vega spoke up again, it was weird how easy they could read each other lately that words didn't even have to be exchanged but he could admit they did have a point. Considering Jammy was still quietly cackling under the only stable table while furiously scribbling notes said a lot about their family and what even counted as normal nowadays.
...Star really didnt even have to be mentioned as the main example how this family was odd, looking down at the babybones still admiring their small black wings that were the size of a parrot now, which was a scarily quick advancement as they were the size of a butterfly only a few minutes ago.
He did not know how or even want to know how Star gave themselves wings as he was sure it would be horrifying to simply try and understand and mind breaking to listen to it. He fully expected Jammy to try and get in on this as he was pretty sure he was witnessing the start of their crazy scientist phase, so would very much be keeping an eye on that despite still being the 'youngest'. He still had not gotten a sufficient explanation about that and felt he never would but he couldn't say he totally hated it as it felt like an invisible weight of expectation fell off his shoulders.
...he wasnt sure if he was comforted that Jammy might count as the oldest and therefore the responsible one but considering how little sense stuff in the family was, he wouldn't be shocked if somehow Star was the oldest. It was all mind boggling which is why he did his best not to think about it, trying to relax on the sofa which had so far been left untouched by the destruction as he continued watching the show happening in front of him.
