Nightmare absentmindedly pet Kevin as he stared blankly at one of the overly decorated walls of Dream's home, trying yet failing to make sense of any of this situation. He had entirely stopped trying to look directly at Star when the babybones began shifting shapes at random for 'fun', not wanting to deal with another headache and covering Kevin's eyes as well, just in case.

He knew they were a chicken but they were much more intelligent then one and while he couldn't save his friends from that sight he could at least help Kevin.

He had pretty much zoned out at this point, figuring out that was the best plan right now as the entire room was a cacophony of noises and sights that he felt nowhere near qualified to deal with, frankly feeling nostalgic for the old days where he only had to keep away from Dream but now...

"This is rather impressive, Star. You really seem to have affected him deeply. I've never seen someone cry for so long before"

"You make it sound like some sort of psychological attack. We all know Star still gets that wrong 50% of the time. We should really show more sympathy for Dream and not sound too interested in this. We should treat this with sympathy and respect"

"That's rich coming from you, Jammy. I can see you are writing notes right now. You've filled four notebooks since we got here and I doubt its all about 'being kind'....what have you even been writing about?!"

"...science..stuff. Very important things I'll have you know, Sirius"

"...i do not like how vague you are being about this"

"You are crying a lot, Birdy. Do you need a hug? I'm great at those! I've had lost of practice"

"Careful with the pressure you use to hug them, Star! We do not want what happened last time to happen again. The cleanup was terrible"

....he had to sit witness for whatever this was. Every word out of the strange family's mouth was so very ominous, usually a curious monster by nature but somehow that all fled when dealing with this eclectic mix of monsters and odd 'pet'.

Brom's tail wagged happily, not sensing anything wrong with the Code of this multiverse or Star for that matter, this a rather relaxing multiverse so far but did feel himself drool when he looked at the chickens wandering around the floor. Their Code looked delicious, especially after whatever Star had done to them and wondered if anyone noticed if he took a tiny bite out of one of them.

He was sure no one would notice and besides, he had been a 'good boy' according to Star so that surely meant a treat!

"Origin and End say they will be here soon"

Sirius spoke up casually as he glanced at his phone, after of course making sure Star was simply giving a hug to the crying Dream and not anything else that would need more adult supervision, at this point feeling he should just accept that he was the baby of the group and enjoy all the benefits such a position gave him.

He did have a sneaking suspicion they wouldn't be leaving here alone though, Star growing rather attached to the Dream not to mention the way Jammy kept quietly muttering while looking at all the 'chickens' made his instincts twitch in slight alarm especially after the last surprise he sat through.
