New Multiverse

"..they are very different to what I expected"

" It's not surprising, Ink. Our own c-child did not grow up all alone like them. I'm frankly impressed this one came out somewhat sane "

The pair watched the odd babybones stare at a flower with unnerving intensity before bursting into rather insane giggles and begin humming to themselves.

" ....Lets be thankful we convinced them to put on some actual clothes "

Ink was unsure where to go from here. He had dealt with other multiverses before but never a variant that was so close to home. They were all clueless on how to proceed and even the twin Guardians admitted to being unable to influence the babybones.

Just what sort of multiverse did the babybones come from, to turn out like this ?

Paperjam felt he had been taught so many things in the past week. Who knew having someone to talk to would make things so much easier?

These two 'not parents' knew so many things and the Destroyer had even promised to help him deal with the numbers, which were apparently called 'Codes'?

So many new things, it was fascinating .

"Look! My squiggles are lower than yours. That means I win!"

" ...That's your Hope number, Paperjam. It's supposed to be high "

He snickered at the Destroyer, finding them so very amusing. He could observe people's expression so much easier up close but he still had some trouble relating it to an emotion. He really thought he had mastered this skill until the Positivity Guardian said he was mistaken. That was ok though! It just added more fun and meant he had even more things to learn. He doubted he would bored anytime soon here

He rubbed his face against the soft clothing he was given, liking how long the hoodie sleeves were. He was a tad confused why he had stripes on his clothing but apparently it was required.

..there were so many rules and the longer the list grew, the more tempted he was just to explore by himself.

He hadn't realised how close his hand had gotten to his mouth until blue strings immobilised his limb, making him look at the Destroyer in confusion.

" None of that. Don't you remember that Ink said he would show you an easier way to form portals? "

He blankly stared, no such memorie popping up but he still nodded to the question, in order to appease them. They had been rather accommodating and taught him so many things, he would try and obey their rules..for now.

At least they didn't try to touch him and he did like the magic in the strings, his own coming out to examine it. He was in awe when the blue strings suddenly dissolved, putting his hand on his chest when the funny buzzing sound happened again.

" That's called 'purring', Paperjam. Monsters generally do that when they are happy "

'Purring' was such a funny word and he remembered getting rather startled the first time he heard it. Now he tried to do it more, rather liking how it felt. He had a feeling he had been told this before but he was distracted when the Destroyer dissolved more of their magic strings, making his giggles start up again.

Error felt it hard to keep his smile, considering he had to do this for the babybones to get any sustenance. He was given such a look of incomprehension when he suggested feeding them magic, that it physically hurt. He worried if they even knew how to manually absorb magic, as it looked rather automatic.
