Week 1

I spent the next few days avoiding every scar-faced blonde in my class, hanging out with Kokona and Saki, trying to help Osana win over Taro-senpai, and figuring out which club to join, since Father demanded both Aru and I join a club at Akademi.

"So, sis," Aru said as we walked onto school grounds together. "It's Friday. Have you decided which club to join?"

"I think I'm gonna join the drama club," I said, shrugging. "With how much I've learned to act for the sake of the Akiyama image," I said quietly, "I figured, why not give real acting a try? Plus, Kokona keeps begging me to join her club so we can hang out more."

Aru chuckled. "Of course, she does. She seems to be a clingy friend, but at least she's too much of a loud-mouth to be a fake friend."

I elbowed him. "Hey! That's my friend you're talking about." Despite saying that, though, I giggled and agreed. "But yeah, you're probably right."

"Told ya. Anyway, I'm gonna join the martial arts club. Buda Matsuda told me to think about it after I beat him, so I told him I would." Then, Aru puffed up his chest, and I rolled my eyes, recognizing that look in his eye. "And then, after school, I'm finally gonna become the toughest kid at Akademi!"

I rolled my eyes. "Riiiight. Good luck with that, Aru."

One handshake later, we parted ways to our respective shoe lockers, where I ran into Aso Rito. "Good morning," I greeted him.

"Good morning, Athena-sama," Aso replied.

I froze, and rose an eyebrow suspiciously. "Athena-sama? Who started that?"

Aso shrugged. "I have no idea, but everyone's been calling you that since yesterday."

I narrowed my eyes. "You do know what that means, right?"

"Yeah, it means goddess." Aso chuckled. "You really haven't heard?"

"Heard what?"

"Everyone's calling you the Goddess of Akademi."

"What?!" My eyes went wide, and I grabbed Aso's collar and pulled him close to whisper, "Are you serious? Tell me you're joking."

Aso, taken aback by the suddenness of my actions, chuckled nervously. "N-no, I'm not. The entire school has been calling you the Goddess of Akademi."

I released him with a long sigh. "Holy shit, I knew some Japanese schools went crazy for their most popular students, but jeez..."

Aso laughed for real this time. "Yeah, tell me about it. Especially with celebrities at Akademi."

I sighed as I walked with him out to the track field, passing through the school plaza to do so. "I guess I really can't avoid being Little Miss Popular no matter what school I go to."

Aso scoffed. "With a big name like Akiyama, are you really surprised?"

I shrugged. "I guess not really."

He chuckled. "Besides, you're so pretty, you'd get noticed whether you were famous or not."

I smirked, raising my brows. "Oh, so you think I'm pretty now?"

His cheeks flushed. "Well, I mean, who wouldn't?"

At that, before I could reply, he ran off towards the boy's locker room, and I called out to him, "H-hey, Aso!" Huffing as he disappeared, I turned and headed into the drama club, where the drama club leader stood, ruffling through some scripts. He scooped some into his arms and turned around to find me standing in the doorway.

"Ah!" he greeted. "You must be the beautiful Athena-sama. I am Kizano Sunobu! President of this here drama club! How may I help you?"

He kissed my hand as he introduced himself. Rolling my eyes at the nickname, I smiled playfully at his antics and said, "I'd like to join your club, Kizano."

His amethyst eyes lit up. "You'd grace us with your presence by joining my club?"

"Sure," I said, chuckling. "Why not?"

"Excellent!" Kizano exclaimed. "You should join us for our club meeting tonight, then. We're going to decide what play we should do, and then auditions will be next Friday. Club meetings begin at five."

I nodded. "Alright, sounds good to me."

"Perfect! See you this evening, then."

Come around lunchtime, when I was supposed to meet Osana to discuss her confession to Taro-senpai, she was mysteriously nowhere to be found. Considering that her bento to him on Monday had been ruined, the book he'd lent her Tuesday fell into the fountain, somehow panty shots of all things had appeared on her phone Wednesday, Osana had asked both Raibaru and I to help her wake up in time for her movie date with Senpai on Thursday. Thankfully, she was able to make it to her movie without any issues.

But now, as I searched the school for Osana, the ginger was nowhere to be found.

Eventually, I ran into Raibaru, who was also looking for her. "Hey, have you seen Osana? I can't find her anywhere."

I blinked. "I was just about to ask you the same question... have you tried her cell?"

"Yes, multiple times!" Raibaru let out a sigh. "She's not picking up. Where could she be?"

I frowned. "She's supposed to confess to Senpai after school today..." I slipped my phone out of my pocket and tried calling her cell. It rang until it eventually reached her voicemail. I clicked my tongue. "Weird." I shrugged and put my phone away. "I'm sure she's fine. She'll turn up eventually, don't worry."

Raibaru took a few deep breaths. "Okay. You're probably right. Maybe she's just feeling overwhelmed from the pressure? I don't know."

"I'm sure that's it. Let's just go eat our lunches, okay?"

"Okay. Let's go."
